  1. LOL, at least this UPS accepts more batteries. Think Zircon is to much house hold. Thanks for the info, appreciated.
  2. Why are you so negative?
  3. Then let me put it another way. Two batteries in parallel have no impact on heat production for outgoing current. They only provide longer runtime, that is if you don't add extra balast. Another thing is the battery load current that might be lethal to the charger circuitry. In older versions of Zircon UPS, the double battery trick worked. The newer ones can't handle it, I experienced. Maybe I get the answer from Zircon. Have one unit under repair at this moment. Waiting for diagnose and cost estimation. 500 Baht to the max imo or else they can keep it. Might just be an electronic switch....forgot the name, a Mosfet?
  4. BritMan, tell me why this hapens. I doubled and tripled my batteries (identical ones) and the outcome was that the device didn't work (switch) at all with a single battery. No overheating of batteries here. What is wrong with two batteries in parallel, I don't get it.
  5. A regular house hold UPS is only meant for two reasons. Surge protection and short term power supply (typical 10 to 15 mins) to be able to safe your data. Just buy one?? I did twice and not happy with them. What's good about them is the U, uninterruptable.
  6. Fine the living snot out of them burners. No money then jail time. See if that's gonna hurt them. Any village headman who refuses to cooperate will be fired for not following orders. So are all governors and other so called hi so regulators. Point.
  7. Please give some more details, Names, website...thanks
  8. Operating time.
  9. Good idea when my application fails. Thank you.
  10. Yes, a 2000 Watt inverter on batteries would suffice; in fact double of what I need. During last earth quake we had a power outage for 2 hours.
  11. Thanks for replies. Wouldn't actually call it a goal in life. I am 'researching' an alternative solution to a UPS. Household UPS only provides like 15 mins of operation time on the PC. When I added a couple more identicall batteries to my UPS it worked for a short while till the UPS stopped switching. One simple solution for me would be to have my critical equipment connected seperately to an inverter, running all the time or only plugged in when needed.
  12. Might be a question for Crossy. Is it in principle possible to connect an inverter directly to the mains and If not what do I need to make such a connection? There are probably more snakes in the grass then I can think of and how do emergency power generators do it? Thanks
  13. So low you might neglect it or stop living/eating. There is also alcohol in some produce. Also negletable; never heard of drunk babies after eating bananas.
  14. I did and I don't agree.
  15. Carbs in spinach and broccoli? You must be a scientist, 555
  16. Link please.
  17. Try a bag of Intense Dark Chocolate compound coins from Tulip. 235 Baht 1000 g Macro. Eats away easy as well.
  18. Fat isn't the problem.
  19. Maybe better said for communist style countries.
  20. All girls should refuse to fight or compete any biological man. Problem solved. If those guys have no more girls to bully then the whole things ends pretty quick.
  21. I don't believe that Thais take to much salt. Their dishes are mostly dull, uplifted by spicy condiments and fish sauce, which is salty but you need only a little bit. Farang eat more salty than Thai and as mentioned above, you need salt period. There are politicians that believe they are dieticians. Sugar is the killer, cancer cells feed on it.
  22. Yep, Thai health care in a nut shell.
  23. OMG, since bashing Trump isn't popular anymore you need a new target right?
