  1. They are Russians indeed (but it looks they don't drink a lot)! They have been away since Febr 2020, came back for a month this year, left 28 Feb again... During the almost 3 years they have been away, 2 pigeons lived there and put 2 cm of sh*t on their balcony! Before the Russians left on Feb 28, they put a net around their balcony. Which made the pigeons decide to move to.... my balcony! Last night they started to build a nest! I guess a net will be the solution.
  2. Hi all, Where in Pattaya can I buy fake crows or a net to get rid of <deleted>ting pigeons on my balcony? Or strips with pins? Other solutions? (not poison...) Thanks!
  3. Great! Thanks a lot, sent them a message already!
  4. Hi all, Any car for rent like this, in Pattya? Thanks!
  5. I know what you mean...
  6. Will keep you posted, but you will be shocked what happened. Can't mention too much at this moment yet.
  7. An expat has been maltreated, in my opinion. With disastrous result. Any advice regarding a law firm that has dealt with such an issue before?
  8. I assume there is just 1 agent there, so I will enter the right office? Thanks!
  9. No re-entry! Will go 1-2 days before extension expires! Thanks!
  10. Aaah, all right: I mixed up the validity of the O-A visa (I entered Thailand with it in Nov 2020) and the extension of stay. From Nov 2020-NOv 2021 I could travel in and out of Thailand several times without re-entry permit, right? That has expired, I realize now. Now I am staying on 1 year extension of stay (Nov 2021-Nov 2022) and need re-entry permit if I want my 1 year extension to stay valid. So, I just do the border run on the final 1-2 days of my 1 year extension. That will next be void. But, of course I will explore the possibility of using an agent (as long this is legal - I will check it in Immigr). Spending a few 1000 baht more and avoiding a day traveling is worth it.
  11. Hi, Pls your attention for my question: My last day of 1 year extension of stay on non O-A visa is Nov 7. Because of the mandatory health insurance (I got another one, which is not recognized in Thailand), I want to change to non O visa. Are the following 4 steps correct? 1. I do a border run Nov 8. 2. Will have to pay 500 baht for overstay 1 day. 3. Cross the border and return on visa exemption, because O-A not valid anymore. 4. Not later than 15 days before this exemption expires (now 45 days validity), I request for non O at Immigr at Jomtien. Financial requirements are ok (800,000 in the bank). A travel agency (Thai lady) told me I could change from non O-A to non O at Immigr in Jomtien, which is incorrect, as far as I know. Right? Thanks!
  12. Hi folks, When buying/selling a car, a foreigner needs a form which proofs his/her address. How recent, (how old, how many weeks/months max), may this form be? Appreciate your response! Thanks! Steven
  13. He will do that. Does he need to bring witnesses? Translator?
  14. No 50-50 split of what was brought (and not spent) in for the period the marriage lasted? But pls: the main question is: example of divorce agreement.
  15. Hi Guys, A neighbor of mine, legally married, wants to divorce (after being married for less than half a year). No kids, no house, no car. She already got (took) lots of money of him, she can't claim any more. Actually, in case they go to court, he could claim quite an interesting amount of money back. But he doesn't want to spend time and have any more stress. And lawyers in Thailand are charging up to 5000 baht/hour. Anyone got (or knows where to download) an example of a divorce agreement with mutual consent? Preferably each paragraph in Thai and next in English. It may also be in Thai, google and a bit of help of another Thai will do the job, I guess. Cheers and thanks! Steven
  16. Yes, it is in the deceased's name. But the thieve (the nurse) took that as well.
  17. Ok, I am afraid it will end like this. Will still try something with help of a certain policeman I know and a letter of the heirs. Will let you know later. Thank all of you for your answers.
  18. That crossed my mind, also. But if the name in the blue book has changed, someone in the Land Transport Office must have been bribed. Next, the copy of the passport of the American with his signature and other things are needed: How to Transfer the Ownership of a Vehicle to Your Name in Thailand The Buyer needs to bring the following to the Land Transport Office: Vehicle Vehicle ownership booklet Passport/ID Application form signed by the seller (form available at the office) In addition, you’ll need either of the following from the Seller: Signed copy of national ID card if the seller is a Thai citizen Signed copy of passport info and visa pages if the seller is a foreigner So, there must be a trail of falsifications (however: this is Thailand), so will a procedure to find al this be successful.
  19. Ha ha, nice and creative idea. But when my GF meets a person at the office who got a strong spine and doesn't like to be bribed, a lot of trouble will be poured over my GF. We prefer doing it with documentation from the heirs (sons). Still, my question is: is a court procedure required to put the car on her name (once she got it back from the thieves). If yes, how much will this cost (including a rough estimation of lawyer expenses - difficult to answer, I realize).
  20. Hi Folks, This is the situation: Foreigner (USA) lived with Thai GF in Thailand. He owned a car in Thailand. He got ill, went back to USA for treatments, but there he died. Shortly before he died he sent a LINE message to his GF that she could take the car. Not any signed documentation. I helped her in asking his sons to send documentation that they - as heirs - will donate the car to her. They agreed to do so. Hope to receive these in a few weeks. With copy of the passports of father and son and copy of blue book, copy passport GF, copy of LINE message. Am I correct that they need to fill in the Thai document "title transfer application form' as well? Will this be enough for the (Land?) Transportation Office, or does she have to go to court to get permission from the court to transfer the car? How much will this cost? (Lawyer needed?) A complicated factor to all this is that a nurse who helped the GF in taking care of the ill American, took the car and the blue book and parked the car at an unknown address of an unknown friend. The address of the nurse is known, but she won't say anything. The police will only act regarding this nurse with documentation of the heirs of the American. So, we hope to pass this hurdle soon. And advice from experienced or expert people will be much appreciated. Kind regards, Steven
