  1. It's not always wise to present AI consent. In particular if it's not correct😂
  2. When I read this morning about the wealthy owners of Nescafé in Thailand it came to my mind who I would call a famous person in Thailand? Is it about wealth, or science, or influence, or honesty, or art, or privileged, or ? What do you think? On my personal list is beside Bhumibol also Thaksin?, Chaleo and Apitchapong. Who do you prefer?
  3. Under a bilateral agreement, both sides are permitted to deploy unarmed troops at the disputed site to support tourism, but must avoid provocative acts.
  4. Tourists in their own country attacked by soldiers from a "friendly" country. What a headline 😱
  5. In many cases the reason is a cardiovascular health issue or a lung issue like COPD. Even obesity could be a problem. Treatments available. Doctor visit recommended
  6. Yes, that's true. But they think and act as being the majority
  7. What is so exciting? A group of Cambodians visiting their Khmer temple in their country. And?
  8. Short memory? Following the last protests we could find General Prayuth as PM. Who will it be this time.?😱
  9. What is her qualification? Is this mentioned? I suppose her skills were excellent
  10. "You're the good or bad guy then?😂. Well, I opened the thread to see how the members think of Thais. And it's clear they think themselves to be the superiors. I added an IQ test for everybody but got none response about the result. My assumption (even more than assumptions) is that many/most were shocked not even getting the 89. I reckon 89 might be just the average here on AN.🥳
  11. No, I don't believe you. The most are in Africa
  12. Do the test and be surprised.😃
  13. That's far away from the topic
  14. That's not right. The median ist 100. Pisa ist the wrong chart. See my explaination I sent to @NorthernRyland. He doesn't understand either.
  15. No, look at my explaination. The average Thai is 89 or 112 or something between. You have only to take the right chart to look yourself better. So US average could be lower than Thai if you mix up the charts. But who knows? Maybe truth. (social) Actually I was trying to encourage you to do the test🤗
  16. Not really. It works a bit different: IQ tests are scored relative to a set of people who are supposed to statistically represent the nation where the test will be used. The test is designed to produce a Gaussian distribution with a standard deviation of 15. The mean is defined as IQ 100. Half of the normal people (those not suffering from mental diseases) have IQs above 100 and the other half are below 100. IQ = (15 x z-score) + 100, where the z-score is relative to age peers. Each nation does this, so the tests from a dull nation will still show the average score as 100 and bright nations will also show the mean as 100. In order to compare nations, all test scores must be adjusted to one standard. The one used is the Greenwich IQ Standard (white British). After the conversion, we can compare all nations. Doing that shows the mean IQ for the world is 84. So, on the basis of the full world population, a person with a Greenwich IQ Standard IQ of 100 would be 16 IQ points above the world mean.
  17. Oh, I see. You expect me to think Thai's IQ is low? Lower than your's? No, the opposite is right.
  18. Of course there a dozens of sources. I took the one which is connected with a test. Did you do the test already?
  19. Yes, my experience. Though this fast test - not a scientific - gives some surprises, I'm sure
  20. Seems you're too shy to do a test? Where is it racism? I recommend you do the test
  21. The last days I realized that some Expats here had been concerned about the IQ of other members. So I did my research and was surprised to see the average IQ in Thailand is said to be 89. Can you do better?
  22. I read the article. It's not a study. He presents 2 charts. One with unvaccinated, the other with vaccinated people. It's about death within the first 3-6 months after vaccination, predominantly after 3 or more doses. However, we don't know about the kind of deaths. And we don't know about the preconditions. And we don't know about the ages. And of course you can't compare the groups just like that. We don't know about the gender. We don't know about weight and height. There are too many unknown variables. Therefore it was good for a headline. For me it's for the bin. Also, Japan got a very strange delayed vaccination regime. They ran out of syringes, then ran out of vaccines. Many Japanese might have been infected in the time between but got their vaccine too late to protect others. But this is an assumption.
