    Not really. Looking to Singapore eg, I would say it's a guided democracy. There are other countries which use this scheme.

    I agree. However, at present he's claiming to be not guilty, unless the police and consequently the court will confirm his crimes and will sentence him according Thai law.

    And here's the thing: calling a state of emergency would have to be accepted by EU. And it's only possible for a limited time if citizens of Netherland would be in danger. This is not the case. And as far as I know by lawyers this "new law" can't be implemented, because it's illegal. This is why Germany didn't start to go that way. A solution is possible by changing EU laws, which is a long way.

    No, When Ukraine joins the Nato, there will be a long lasting standstill without any attempts to start another war. However, to accept this multi corrupt failed state as a NATO or EU member, would be the biggest mistake after WW2.
