  1. Didn't need a hand-drawn map either (did requirement extension at CW in February), I just provided a print out of Google Maps.
  2. Check in the True iService App if you have a "subscription" active. That was the reason my account credit was slowly drained (of course I never subscribed...).
  3. Yes, back home in Europe I also use contactless debit card payment all the time. But for that the vendor needs a terminal and to pay the fees to the credit card companies. That's why instead the QR code payment is used in Thailand (and many other countries): The shop just needs to print the QR code and have a smartphone. So any small shop can use it.
  4. The 2.2% decline was for 2023, so I guess 2023 compared to 2022. Projection for 2024 is higher and predicts an increase in production, yes.
  5. The article compares year-on-year numbers, so they look at only 1 month: February this year vs February 2023.
  6. No surprise if the majority of local production is Japanese companies with their old fashioned cars. Should have started earlier with EV production, not wait till the Chinese are here with their shiny modern cars. But anyhow the Chinese are already investing in EV production in Thailand, so the numbers will soon look better. If the Japanese don't get going, well, their loss...
  7. I'm wondering why should "leaving" Thailand have anything to do with re-entry permits? Those are only relevant when you "enter" Thailand. You don't need a re-entry permit to leave, though you might regret that if it wasn't your intention to invalidate your current extension of stay ;) Do Officers at Exit check it as a courtesy?
  8. The generals and Thaksin made a deal. They stay in power, he can return, and MFP is kept out. Simple and everyone can understand. The rest (ill, hospital, yadayada) is just a charade (keeping face?).
  9. Uh, I can see no official statement on the page except "Please ask Immigration Bureau". Where on TAT page did you see the info?
  10. According to the article: "the woman, known to fear loud noises since childhood". That might explain why she didn't call police or security. She panicked (possibly traumatized by childhood experiences) and instinctively tried to flee. And it was late in the day so probably already sleeping when the pounding and shouting started.
  11. Yeah, but in exchange we got air pollution season 1 month earlier this year. 😁
  12. I understand that pollution travels across borders, but not hotspots? And Malaysia and Vietnam are in totally opposite wind directions. One is south of Thailand, the other is north and east...
  13. What are Malaysia and Vietnam doing differently? Since their hotspot numbers are so low (and it's satellite data, so probably reliable), and the two countries are different in economic development status and political systems....
  14. The TM30 was done a little more than 3 months ago, before I did the conversion to non O.
  15. You need to show TM30 (plus rental contract etc.) when you apply for conversion into non O.
