Its being reported this morning that Donald Trump has been snubbed from speaking to Parliment during his visit in Sept while Macron had the red carpet treatment from Parliment and the open coach to the Houses of Parliment, and to upset him More he is getting the cold shoulder by being refused a invite to Buckingham Palace " Ouch "
According to one channel I've been following, there is a complex dynamic where Buckingham Palace actually has still been wielding power over the US presidents to this day. And Trump is breaking free or trying to break free.
Still not sure if this theory is valid, but I will continue to follow this channel.
And it does seem to align with what you just mentioned. Buckingham Palace hates Trump because he's not following their playbook.
And here is a recent quote about Trump from Lord Wallace sth sth speaking to the House of Lords.

So I believe men and women can just be besties.
ideally, the spouse/gf should be also your best friend, but doesn't always work out that way.
doesn't cause envy from the spouse that you're better friends with another female than your own spouse?
i wouldn't want my wife/gf being best friends with another dude. it's the same as if she's sleeping with him to me.
too many cooks spoil the broth.

I gave up interpreting song lyrics in 1983 when I discovered Gravitys Rainbow.
Some song lyrics are straightforward with a simple message.
Other song lyrics are deliberately abstract, but have a hidden meaning that the songwriter wants you to try to figure out. Maybe Hotel California and Stairway to Heaven fall into that category.
Some song lyrics probably don't mean anything. They're just stringing random words together.

Hendrix, still appropriate after 50 years.
What doe the reference to Atlantis mean? I have no idea what he's talking about.

I'm a fan of the lyrics in Hendrix songs... very relevant, even now. However, many kids and old people are lost... although, the Eagles song like "Hotel California" is a good example of the EU and other institutions now etc. haha.
Oh no !!!! Hendrix rears his ugly head in yet another music-related thread.
His music simultaneously induces one to get the urge to do drugs, but at the same time his lyrics warn you that drugs will mess you up.
And thanks for confirming my theory that people don't take time to study lyrics and have no idea what they're listening to.
Anyway, these lyrics are a bit nuts. Not sure about his other songs. Never got into all his music.

now there's some very good songwriters out there.
Most people don't even listen to lyrics ... so you're one step ahead of the competition.

Bar owner will have to pay him....cops will take a cut and his bar will be on the watch list. Bad move to go violent, because the cops have been clear, call them first. Now, the cops lost face and everyone will pay. Stupid more runs in this city.
Yes, possible scenario.
And one might even assume that the guy did it on purpose to provoke the bar owner into assaulting him to get the bar in trouble. He could literally be friends with a bar owner across the street.
You need to keep your wits about you. You never know who is out to get you.
I was walking down the street and spotted a Thai woman giving me the evil stinkeye and talking to her friends behind my back. I didn't do nothin' to her.
There's a lot of Troubled Men and Women out there who would get you if they could.

Does the lifestyle cause emotional damage?
But people can also get "emotionally damaged" from divorce / bad relationships.
I met one girl who started working as a freelancer after her boyfriend cheated on her. The emotional damage began before the freelancing did.

I’ve been wondering: if one could pick anywhere else in the world to live, places like Dubai, Zürich, Monte Carlo, the south of France, Hawaii, you name it, anywhere you might dream about, would you actually leave Thailand?
I just did a search on Dalat, Vietnam.
Never been, but the temperate eternal spring climate seems appealing, as well as the pine trees, lakes , and low cost of living.

It is fairly well documented that prostitution causes considerable psychic harm to women who choose that path

I went to a cafe and there were signs banning filming and photographing.
It's not just to do with girls.
I'm guessing people film all over the place and some people don't like it and it leads to arguments and fights in the establishment.

Great - so the perfect solution is violence ?
No, I mentioned in the other post that the bar owner should have gone to the back room and called the cops.
Just saying this video shows how stupid and provocative foreigners get in these bars, including uttering threats. So that's why we see so many beatings taking place.

So, it is my contention that it depends on the numbers,
1 - where are you getting your numbers from?
2 - the divorce rates are high, therefore many/most people lack relationship skills and/or have psychological issues or issues of narcissism or fill in the blank, overly materialistic ... not just girls who have worked as escorts.

Every woman likes attention from others, so do we, nothing wrong about it, as long they not provoking on purpose
A girl from my last workplace was flirting with every guy in the office. It was an ego trip for many men to like her.
And women are doing this on social media. If you post a sexy video on TikTok, then thousands of men are admiring your body. Even though technically it's not prostitution ... but there was a famous actor who broke up with his girlfriend because he didn't like the content she was putting up on social media.

However, bar girls are not just exposed to the cynical indifference of the customers, but also the harshness and oppression or the bar owners/police and other bar girls all fighting for the money etc.... a dark employment environment indeed that is not conducive to an optimistic outlook on life and will harden them up quick because it means survival.
Pretty much most corporate work environments have that to some degree.
Backstabbing competitive colleagues, ruthless bosses ....
The girls actually are tough. They have survival skills and they know how to survive.
And that what's it's all about ... survival.

alot of emotional baggage, songs about all her past boyfriends
The songs about her ex boyfriends could be mostly fictional storytelling.
Like Led Zeppelin "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You". It doesn't mean it was a true story.
Emotional baggage ... what a joke. What do men want to marry? Inflatable dolls? Even if a woman never had any other man before you, the relationship itself will be full of complications and the woman will incur "emotional baggage" with YOU. You need to learn how to deal with that. A woman is not a sex toy.

I'm not sure it would be that black and white if it went to court.
Although he uttered a threat, he did not attack or make any body movement that indicated he was going to attack.
