  1. The Slippery Snake. The Octopus. I don't get it. I thought gambling was legal in Cambodia, so how is the underworld making money off it?
  2. longstanding abuse on social media ... couldnt she just have blocked them? full grown women acting stupid on the internet. not teens. absurd.
  3. I sold a used camera to a local place and almost certainly got ripped off. I should have checked the market value. I'm sure I would have gotten a lot more on ebay. So I haven't tried, but I think it's better than selling locally. Shopee also has used items, so it may be possible to sell through that site but also haven't tried. Maybe Lazada too. Not sure. And for cameras, there are specific sites dedicated to used cameras you can sell to internationally.
  4. I think you nailed it, Sherlock. Elementary. Nice job.
  5. Is this common in Thailand? ie spiking drinks? I heard it's a big problem in Medellin, Colombia. But if it's not sth common here, it could be that he took the drugs volanturily. Never take open drinks and never leave your drink unattended. But that's hard to do when you're drunk.
  6. depends how it's done. tax the robots ... if it's even possible. right now, many parents put pressure on their children for support. I even met one girl who had suicidal tendencies because of the financial pressures.
  7. By some groups, marijuana was not used "regularly" (ie daily) and it was not used just to get a high, ie for escapism. It was used in a specific way, which I won't get into (too complicated and I don't have the energy).
  8. The Straight of Trump, you mean.
  9. now that's a real italian name. finally a match between name and actual place of birth. it was getting confusing. isn't there a guy called candido on here? rings a bell. don't do drugs, kids.
  10. thank you for playing, but there is a greater chance she saw a ghost and swerved to avoid it than your U-turn hypothesis.
  11. Not everyone is high-minded as you and here for research.
  12. If someone has citizenship then technically they are Canadian. However, if they haven't been in the country long, they are carrying their own country's "culture" more than Canadian culture. Every population has 5% of people who behave badly, so it makes no difference where he is from. Except countries need to monitor if a certain recent immigrant group is involved with a disproportionately high level of crime and then adjust the immigration policies accordingly. Thailand doesn't give out citizenship easily because if you behave badly, they can kick you out.
  13. Taking sides is a fool's game. Neither side is innocent. The situation is out of control and unless there is invervention by an outside body/govt(s), the animosity between both sides is too deep for this to be fixed internally. And again, taking sides is a fool's game.
  14. sorry, i dunno. above my pay grade. that's why hegseth doesn't return my calls. feel free to elaborate.
  15. According to this, it's a stepping stone. They need to neutralize countries that are not co-operating and that may destabilize and undermine -- Iran, maybe Syria ... https://thesoufancenter.org/intelbrief-2025-december-10/ The opening paragraph of the Middle East section in the Trump administration’s National Security Strategy 2025 (NSS), released last week, asserts that Trump intends, as have his past few predecessors, to pivot the focus of U.S. policy from the Middle East to other national security threats. Laying out Trump’s case for de-emphasizing the region, the document states: “For half a century at least, American foreign policy has prioritized the Middle East above all other regions. The reasons are obvious: the Middle East was for decades the world’s most important supplier of energy, was a prime theater of superpower competition, and was rife with conflict that threatened to spill into the wider world and even to our own shores. Today, at least two of those dynamics no longer hold. Energy supplies have diversified greatly, with the United States once again a net energy exporter. According to the document, “Syria remains a potential problem, but with American, Arab, Israeli, and Turkish support, may stabilize and reassume its rightful place as an integral, positive player in the region.” According to the strategy: “…the days in which the Middle East dominated American foreign policy in both long-term planning and day-to-day execution are thankfully over — not because the Middle East no longer matters, but because it is no longer the constant irritant, and potential source of imminent catastrophe, that it once was.”
  16. Carney's job is different than Trumps. And perhaps a lot simpler. The US is mixed up with the Middle East, policing the world, worrying about China asserting its dominance .... Canada does not have to worry about these issues.
  17. Some people have unhealthy egos, so they need to show off their bling to bolster themselves. Add narcissism to the mix .... and voila!
  18. Yeah, we've had this discussion before. Some people might consider it "politically incorrect".
  19. The problem is you people are like crybabies. You want candy and you want it now and if you don't get it you will start crying. Extracting the Venezuelan oil will take years, not days. It's a massive undertaking and it will affect the US economy in a positive way. Again, I'm not a fan of exploiting others. Trump promises the Venezuelans will be taken care of. But no one has the faintest idea of the massive long-term future implications of some of these things Trump is doing. Politics is not "everything gets fixed overnight with the snap of a finger". Why don't you go get some soapy massages and learn some patience? https://www.forbes.com/sites/arielcohen/2026/02/26/the-us-takeover-of-venezuelan-oil-wont-move-the-global-market/ As it stands, decades of mismanagement, lagging investment, and political purges in PDVSA have effectively disconnected Venezuela from the global oil market. Any effort to rebuild its industry will take years and billions of dollars of investment.
  20. mainstream media is poisoning your mind. you dont even have a clue what he's doing.
  21. So you didn't come to Thailand for deep conversations then?
