  1. this generational war is silly. the powers that be pretty much set the agenda. and we all need to follow it to survive in society.
  2. hey you. what's in the backpack? books. i'm going to school. i'm a phd student.
  3. another excuse not to work out ... you might catch covid.
  4. not sure long distance running is a good idea. i think it decreases muscle mass. and possibly increases risk of heart attack. anyway, i will quit the thread because this conversation will go on forever.
  5. probably mostly due to excessive alcohol consumption
  6. Interesting theory. Extremely low carb may make people highly irritable and argumentative on internet forums. Have a banana, people!
  7. Jeez, argumentative much? Here's a link to explain what I meant by 'too much'.
  8. Not sure. My limited understanding is: The current version of crypto has been some sort of intermediary phase. Digital currencies will be issued by govts and centralized, so eliminating fraud and speculation.
  9. https://www.wired.co.uk/article/free-public-transit The Case for Making Public Transit Free Everywhere From Spain to Germany and Luxembourg to Estonia, more and more countries are experimenting with fare-free transportation.
  10. what are you talking about? it's my OPINION based on what I've read. I suppose I can provide links to back up this claim, but it may just turn into an endless ping pong match. as i mentioned in a previous post, you can find some of the top medical researchers in the world engaging in debates on Youtube. if some of the world's top doctors and researchers can't agree on everything, do you think you will conclusively argue each and every one of your points on this forum? at some point, you need to take in information and just "go with your gut". because there is a lot of conflicting information in the nutritional world. and clearly, what i say has no clout as i am just a man with a frog avatar. so get your information directly from the source ie qualified professionals. I think I'm going to extricate myself from this conversation now.
  11. not shoes. but essential services may become increasingly cheap(er) and maybe even free. maybe public transit? childcare? money comes from tax reforms i guess. i ain't no economist.
  12. I believe that consistently feeding yourself food with high nutritional value and high in protein throughout your life is a big part of slowing loss of strength. By all means, do resistance training. But my point is that, realistically, you will not get most people to do it. Resistance training is HARD.
  13. ok. you may be right.
  14. This is from World Economic Forum: https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2022/12/do-cryptocurrencies-have-a-future-an-expert-explains/
  15. I stumbled on the World Economic Forum web site ... I came across this article ... 2030 is still a long time away ... Also I am not exactly sure what it means. But one way I am interpreting this is that it COULD MEAN that expats in Thailand and anywhere in the world will no longer need medical insurance because of the phrasing "no matter the location and time". https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2022/12/universal-health-coverage-health-for-all/ Will universal health coverage deliver health for all by 2030? Henceforth, it is imperative to assert here that universal health coverage remains the only means of ensuring healthcare for all citizens of the world, no matter the location and time.
  16. I hate doing actual cardio in a gym. And I think too much intense cardio isn't healthy. But I enjoy tennis. It doesn't feel like work. And I'm a huge fan of simple ol' walking. It doesn't feel laborious like being in a gym. Especially if you are in nice surroundings. It's low impact, its good for blood flow, it helps lower blood pressure, it helps keep the weight down, its outdoors so you're increasing oxygen to the brain.
  17. I don't think we have much statistical data to support your claims. For sure, absolutely 1000% resistance training is important. But in terms of people falling in old age .... what diets were they on? What I see when I go to the supermarket is people filling their shopping carts with <deleted>. Most people are not making any effort whatsoever to eat a healthy diet.
  18. you're right. everyone needs to do resistance training. but we're lazy creatures who like to take the path of least resistance. although you can still remain reasonably healthy and slim on good diet alone.
  19. useful for glaucoma i buy. but isn't there other stuff out that that have anti inflammatory properties? useful for cancer may be an exagerrated claim. anyway, i don't feel like experimenting on myself. i'll wait for more conclusive scientific data.
  20. business means what? you're in the cannabis industry? please explain in detail how you think cannabis is helping others. i will try to keep an open mind.
  21. why do you call yourself stoner? is weed the main focal point of your existence? never mind. I don't think i wanna know.
