  1. I'm currently taking tramadol and pregabalin and about to fly home where they need a prescription I live in Pattaya and tried Bangkok Hospital, Ban Lamung Hospital and Jomtien Hospital with all my previous prescription documents and they will only offer my different medications Can clinics help with this? I only need 1 weeks worth of medication to get a UK doctor appointment (where I was prescribed it)
  2. She has property and children… I might not bring it up, like I said she was accepted the first time round unemployed We have always lived together in Thailand then the 6 month return trip to England we both returned together She’s quitting her job as she hates it and I can easily support her with the wage she would be getting. Thanks for info
  3. Is this acceptable to apply when she’s still employed but planning to quit? Shes already had one visit with no issues but was unemployed at the time.
  4. I’m having an absolute nightmare with this company, anyone else?
  5. I’ll be moving back to UK to work again after 7 years living here. Should I get a criminal record check to show I haven’t been in prison? Sorry if this is the wrong section to post this.

  10. Jomtien This was probably the problem I went to Savannakhet to get a marriage visa renewed but because of the new online queue system was refused so came back on a 30 day entry Horrendous experience every time I visit that office, I’m sure they would have found something else I hadn’t done
  11. Is this a new rule? Left the country to do a visa run and returned to the same address. I didn’t think a new TM30 was needed. First time in 7 years this has happened.
  12. Thanks, I’m so used to being on non-b’s I didn’t know this could be done Money wasted 555
  13. Does this mean I never even had to leave the country? I had already used a single entry + 60 marriage extension
  14. Thanks very much, I have 400k in a bank so will do that Reading elsewhere it looked like i had to leave the country again
  15. So I didn’t see the updates on the new rules about booking an appointment online, got rejected along with a few others. I will return to Thailand tomorrow with my wife on a 30-day stamp. Do I have to leave the country again to get a non-o visa? Will I be eligible for a 60 extension based on seeing family?
  16. This has just happened to me Had no idea of the change
  17. I don't have yet as my next job will cover me, maybe 10000 baht for a coma etc. Was waiting in a government hospital the other day thinking, if I collapsed and was unconscious, would they take me to the ER room or drive me to the nearest Bangkok Hospital (Serious question)
  18. Trying to find out, it's somewhere in Sakhu.. Let me know if you find it (friend also looking)
  19. if they shut down all the stores overcharging people in tourist areas im all for it legal or illegal i'll still occasionally buy some if doctor says I need a break from drink Lyrica gives a better high anyway and is available OTC
  20. She can come to immigration with me but we won't be living together for the first 2 months due to me starting a new job and her resigning from her job. Would it be better to go to Savanakhet and get a multi-entry instead?
  21. just pay for the overstay all other options will cost more/be more hassle
  22. Cost Factor and Rising Expenses: It's understandable that rising costs, including airfare and overall expenses, could influence travel decisions. The emergence of other Southeast Asian destinations offering similar experiences at potentially lower costs poses a significant challenge for Thailand. However, it's essential to highlight Thailand's unique offerings and experiences that might justify the higher expenses compared to its competitors. Expat Challenges: The bureaucratic hurdles and perceived diminishing opportunities for expats are indeed concerning. Thailand has long been known for its welcoming attitude towards foreigners, and any shift away from this reputation could have detrimental effects on its attractiveness as a destination for long-term living and business ventures. Addressing these concerns through streamlined processes and fostering a conducive environment for foreign entrepreneurs and skilled workers is crucial for retaining and attracting talent. Thailand's Evolving Image: Perception matters greatly in the tourism industry, and any negative shifts in Thailand's image could impact visitor numbers. While concerns about overdevelopment and authenticity are valid, it's essential to emphasize the efforts being made to preserve cultural heritage and maintain sustainable tourism practices. Highlighting lesser-known gems and off-the-beaten-path experiences can also help counteract negative perceptions. Consequences for Thailand: The decline in British tourism and expat numbers could indeed have far-reaching consequences for Thailand's economy and workforce. Diversifying tourism strategies to attract visitors from other regions and addressing the concerns of expats could mitigate some of these effects. Additionally, investing in local talent development and fostering innovation within domestic industries can help reduce dependence on foreign expertise. Potential Strategies: The suggested strategies, such as targeted marketing campaigns and policy reassessments, are promising avenues for revitalizing Thailand's appeal to British travelers and expats. Collaboration between government agencies, tourism authorities, and private sector stakeholders will be essential in implementing these strategies effectively. In conclusion, while the challenges outlined in the article are significant, they also present opportunities for Thailand to adapt and evolve its tourism and expat policies. By addressing the underlying issues and leveraging its unique strengths, Thailand can strive to regain its position as a top destination for British travelers and expats alike.
  23. I’ve been reading a few threads on facebook about people extending their non-o visa. Lots saying the bank must be Bangkok Bank, but I’ve opened with Kasikorn. Does this mean my application for an extension will get rejected?
