so does this mean they can't tax me for transferring 400k of savings for a non-o visa? It would be sitting in a bank at home December 2023 and transferred to Thailand January 2024

How are people getting visa with just £1000 in the bank? It’s very confusing.

The website is still asking for 400,000 in a bank account when i changed it from 365 days to 90 days. Maybe I need to start a new application for it to ask for 1000 pounds.. Also is it possible to put 400,000 in an English bank account then apply straight away, or do I have to wait 2 months..?

I'm currently trying to obtain a 1-year non-o through the e-visa website and it's asking for bank statements of 400,000 to be uploaded From what I read on here I thought an initial 1000 pounds was needed to get 3 months, then 400,000 in a Thai bank account when going to extend it after 90 days Will 400,000 in a UK bank be accepted? I can't access my old Thai bank account until I get there. Also its asking for number of days I want to stay, should it be 90 or 365?

I had trouble coming into BKK from London last September on a multi-entry non-o marriage visa. They asked why I had been to Savannakhet so many times to get previous visas and started grilling me about if I’ve come to work. Luckily my wife was with me and spotted me not getting through, she then gave the officer an earful and let me through. Not sure if I’m on some list, or they don’t like Savannakhet visa runs, but next time I’ll be getting the Non-O from UK instead. Not the thing I’d expect entering on an existing visa and being present with my wife. Maybe I should have brought some proof of funds.

I’ve not had time to read the thread but planning to transfer 400k THB in January for a a Non-O Is there a chance it will get taxed? I would send it in December if so but not in the country at that time so not comfortable with it..

Interesting I flew back to BKK a few weeks ago and the IO officer has stamped me to be out January 2024 (but Non-O visa expires 14th November, I thought this was when I have to leave) So I can stay until January then extend another 60 days?

My multi-entry 1 year is up in a couple of weeks (from savannakhet) Am I able to do a 60 day extension making it 14 months?
