They didn't used to be, but large numbers of Buddhists have moved away because of the ongoing violence.

    Eh?

From the report "THAILAND Buddhist minority declines in the ‘deep south’ due to protracted armed conflict":

"There are no reliable figures on the number of people displaced since 2004, but available information suggests that at least 30 per cent of Buddhists ... may have left their homes"

As many have said, "Ocean Spray" cranberry juice is available on Tops, I have also bought it from Lazada.

But it's not cranberry juice, but a cocktail that includes a bit of cranberry juice.

  3. Investment trusts (closed ended UK funds) are apparently "Complex or Leveraged Exchange Traded Product" - at least according to Interactive Brokers.  A couple of days ago they blocked me from trading most of my trusts.  This came totally out of the blue.  (Yes, technically investment trusts are leveraged, but the level of borrowing is minuscule, perhaps 5% or so.  They're much more akin to regular mutual funds than something like leveraged 3x ETFs.)

I discovered I could apply for permission to trade Complex or Leveraged Exchange Traded Products, but was rejected as unqualified, despite my having been investing in them for 40 years.

    So, a couple of questions:

    (1) Has anyone else been caught up like this with Interactive Brokers and found a way to get trading permission restored?

    (2) Is this just an IBKR thing? Or are other American brokers similarly blocking trading in investment trusts?

    Thanks

So you're saying that this doctor, who is followed by millions of people around the world, is wrong about EVERYTHING - even coffee? Your ridiculous statement says a lot more about you than it does about him.

The fact that he's followed by millions of people around the world simply shows that there are millions of scientifically illiterate, gullible people who are prepared to believe any old nonsense with a pseudoscientific presentation.

And the fact that he is an inveterate liar about health benefits, there is no reason to presume he's right about anything (except, perhaps by accident).  According to him:

    - microwave ovens are dangerous

    - HIV doesn't cause AIDS

    - sunscreen causes cancer

    - homogenised milk is dangerous

    - If you constantly wear materials like rubber or 'plastic' shoes you'll be disconnected from the natural energy that flows from the Earth.

And that's not even touching on his ludicrous beliefs about vaccines.

The FDA sent him a warning letter about his COVID pronouncements.  https://www.fda.gov/inspections-compliance-enforcement-and-criminal-investigations/warning-letters/mercolacom-llc-607133-02182021

Still, he's done very well for himself, now being worth $100 million on the back of his clueless supporters.
