There is none. All charges ATM withdrawal fees. If one is on a tourist visa/visa exempt and does not have access to a Thai bank's ATM card, it is better to bring cash or use debit cards that refund foreign transaction fees. If frequent travelers to Thailand, it is better to open a Thai bank account (not easy though).

Don't agree. I never use cash if possible. Sad most Pattaya bars won't accept CC. All my transactions are in CC. I get cash back, fraud protection 100% and use other people's money for one month for free. Of course taking cash from an ATM machine using CC or foreign debit card is no no for me, though I have a couple of debit cards that refund me ATM fees charged in Thailand. I only use Thailand bank ATM for cash in Thailand and Wise for money transfer to Thai bank.

There is no plan B to for exiting without a reentry permit. You simply enter with visa exempt and start over the process. -
Immigration Officers Charged Over Illegal Visa Malfeasance
Xanthe replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
It's called taking risk. Some people wants to take risk and spread their wealth with other unfortunates not born in a Western country. And some people wants to to do it themselves and consider it the greatest life achievement. That is my conclusion after reading hundreds of forum posts. -

Immigration Officers Charged Over Illegal Visa Malfeasance
Xanthe replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Why the IOs won't accept bribes? Just because they are unfortunate to be born in Thailand and no access to Western incomes don't not mean that they can't have desires and aspirations to send their sons and daughters to fancy schools, buy expensive cars or keep their mia nois happy. It is the fault of the foreigners not to be able to come up with adequate incomes even though born in a Western country. No adequate incomes, pay up the money to the IOs for the privilege to live in Thailand. -

If people can't meet the financial requirements or they don't to put 800K baht in a Thai bank, agents are there to facilitate the process. What is wrong with that? It helps lots of people. -

Xanthe replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
As soon as Chinese started coming, the scam tour operators are at it again scamming tourists. It simple solutions will be to refund the money or rebook them, if they want, for another day. Severe punishments should be imposed on these scammers. -

In my condo I don't have TV in the bed room. The one in the living room is turned on may be a few times in the last three years. I did not want the TV in the living room but my GF insisted that I should have one in the living room and found a LG 52-inch TV on sale three years ago for 8K so I bought it. -

With the current 45-day visa exempt entry, each entry will ensure 75 days (one extension). If you visit Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam then three more entries. So a total of 75x4 = 300 days. Of course there is always a risk of entry denial at the airport unless two of the entries are made visa land border. This assumptions are based on extension of visa exempt entries to 45-days beyond March 31.

Have not heard any talk about extending it beyond March 31. -
Double Charging I know it exists but it is still very annoying.
Xanthe replied to Nip's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
Should have thought about that before abandoning your home country and settle in Thailand. Thailand has provided you with a wife, and a life, and in return they are asking for some extra money.
