OMG, picking up somebody else's sunglasses is theft now in Thailand. Be careful and never pick up anything left on a chair in a room. If you find it on the road, it is ok to pick up and take home. -
In Bangkok I used to pay for my condo with a credit card and collect cash back. Not easy to find though unless you book through AirBnb and pay directly to AirBnb.

Is not Laos citizens are visa exempted for 45-days based on Bilateral agreements? I think they won't go back to 30-day after March 31 for Laos citizens and other Bilateral agreement countries like Russia, Vietnam, etc. -

So those Italian furniture are used to smuggle drugs? My friend in the USA was an Italian furniture importer. May be he had a side hassle also? But his life style does not show that. -
My ex father-in-law sued an insurance company in the US for claim denial based on pre-existing condition and won a hefty amount. The medical claim they denied was for 300K USD for a stroke. And they had to pay more than a few millions half of which the lawyers received.

I cannot sleep with aircon on. So, I only run during the day. At night I use a fan and that keeps me cool. Pattaya problems are too much humidity. Sometimes I have to run the A/C for 30 minutes and then stop it.

OMG Why somebody would like to do that? What is there in Thailand to start such a massive undertaking. It just boggles my mind why people overstay in a foreign land instead of going back to their home country (unless they are economic migrants or running away from violence/war in their home country which I understand). But I don't understand the lure of sex orgy or the prospect of finding brides for overstaying.

I never give cash deposit. Always credit card. If I forget and the hotel does not refund it, I can always reclaim it from my CC banks.

During off high season, tourists numbers go down. The full pictures will be known in 2024 when the total tourism revenues will be published for 2023.

In the USA masks are required in hospitals (at least in the one I go). I asked the technician when are they going to stop mask requirements? She told me probably never. She told me the hospital always wanted masks for visitors but this Covid-19 gave them an excuse and they would probably never get rid of it.
