  1. No sponsor required Rick.

It's up to you how you spend your money though. Just letting the OP know that it is SIMPLE to do on your own and there is no need to pay a third party.

Reminds me of the touts at the Cambodian border asking for money to fill out the form for you.

    Cheers.

    London.

  2. I just acted by natural instinct and that did not tell me that it Manchester the drive on the wrong, sorry on the left , not the right side. :o

For centuries, people everywhere walked, rode horses and drive their carts on the left side of the road. Then the French had their Revolution, stormed the Bastille in 1789, and Napoleon took charge: a major war against Britain broke out. The French and their allies fought against the British and their allies all the armies involved wore colourful uniforms that were almost indistinguishable at a distance. Napoleon had introduced a new legal system and the metric measurement; another revolutionary act was to oblige his people and his allies to march on the opposite side of the road. This also enabled both sides in the conflict to recognise French troops at a distance, even though most roads were hardly highways.

Thanks to Napoleon's military successes on land, French influence spread throughout Europe; most European countries - and their colonies - took to the right side of the road. Britain and her large number of colonies remained on the left. Somewhere like Japan, which was influenced by neither side, continued the natural custom and to this day drives on the left.

In America the former colonials had another war against Britain in 1812 and the French general Lafayette went over to lend a hand. The Americans were persuaded that they were now revolutionaries and should drive on the right, although this did not become standard throughout all the states until the 20th century and the influence of the motor car.

  3. Hi Shantie,

I actually used the services of Sunblet to get a multi entry non immigrant B visa from the Hull consulate in October of this year. They supplied the documents which were accepted on the grounds of looking for business oppotunities. I am doing this at the moment and i will hopefully soon buy property in Thailand. I can highly recommend Sunbelt as they did a fine job for me.

    Cheers, Rick

Waste of money, you can do it yourself, very simple and takes about 3 mins.

I went to Hull handed my form in with payment, went outside for a cigarette and my visa was ready by the time i was finished. (less than 10mins in total).

  4. We all evolved in Africa, and only tiny groups ever made it out! The rest of us are like the Siberian Tiger...

    ................................................................................

    .............................................

Where do you get that from? :D

Please tell us more how you came to this conclusion? :o

Early humans first migrated out of Africa into Asia probably between 2 million and 1.7 million years ago. They entered Europe somewhat later, generally within the past 1 million years. Species of modern humans populated many parts of the world much later. For instance, people first came to Australia probably within the past 60,000 years, and to the Americas within the past 35,000 years. The beginnings of agriculture and the rise of the first civilizations occurred within the past 10,000 years.

  5. 4. Banks: Nice to have full-service tellers, with tellers that don't hesitate to provide help with forms, etc. if you need it.

The banks have to be some of the slowest i have encountred anywhere in the world.

Now i know why, people who dont know how to a fill a form out without help.

If i knew how to place one of them laughing smileys lying on the floor, this is where it would go!! :o

    :D Hope you don't mind :D

  7. Bashing Brits is exactly the same as cheating the tax man, it's all part of Aussie sport....and we're very good at it. :D

Did you never stop to think, it may be the tax man who is avoiding you because he's been sleeping with your wife. :o

  8. So, London Croc, do you wish to retract your veiled threat now or should we take this matter further? Your choice my friend, choose wisely.

There was no threat made, i'm simply looking for an answer the same as the OP of this thread.

For a website dedicated to a Kingdom who's people so adore the Monarchy i just find it strange that it alows derogetory comments and slurs to be made against the Monarchy of another nation. A nation who's royal representatives were invited by HRM the King of Thailand to come and celebrate his 60th year on the throne.

I'm sure many Thai people would be shocked and quite upset to know that a website dedicated to the kingdom alowed such things to be writen and left on the board even after it had been brought to the attention of the people in charge.

It may not be law, but i think it is very disrespectful.

I'm sure a website that was Thai owned would not let this happen.

Again i make no threats and never have done, i'm only looking for answers.

I have never had an issue with anything else about the board but i find this to be a double standard and again, i find it very insulting.

I am English, I'm not Thai, does this mean i cannot hold the royal family of my birth country in the same high regard as Thai people do?

    :o

  9. Why does Thaivisa.com allow people to openly criticise, mock, degrade and generaly slag off the Queen of England and the British royal family whilst not allowing this to be done in any way, shape or form to other monarchs?

    :D

I asked the same question in the Brit bashing thread but it was just ignored by the moderation team.

I am thinking about writing in to 'the post bag' at the Bangkok post and asking what others think about this policy on Thaivisa of being allowed to degrade the British royal family openly in a Thailand orientated website. :D

I made this observation in the corruption thread:-

    Quote:-

Taking your one liners into account in not only this topic but several others your history shows.

It may be due to an eloquence situation in which case we should make allowances.

On the other hand you could come across as a thread saboteur ( troll ) in which case you should be ignored and not allowed to cause the havoc and eventually closure of the thread.

    marshbags

I am leaning heavily to the latter and adding T.Visa / before thread saboteur, taking your latest comments into account. ????????

Get a life L.C. and leave the s*** stirring alone. :o

    marshbags

P.S. Most of us like it here, like 99.9 % of us.

Nice, when you see something you don't like then personal attacks are in order :D

I always thought that was against the forum rules?

  11. :o And how many peoples did the Brits destroy in their programs of colonisation over the last 200 years...if that is a record to be proud of then I would be asking a few questions of Mrs WIndsor and what she has contributed and her ancestors...as an Awystrian, I know the view of the British colonisation policy that contributed to the genocide of our indigenous peoples..utterly disgusting and reprehensible....she should take a leaf out of the book of HRH The King of Thailand and see what he has done along with his Queen regarding concern for their peoples..Gala Entertainment events, openings of the hunting season, Garden Partys and a whole bunch of classist toodli pip and rah rah rah...The Vicar of Dibley has eaten all the fairy cakes, but wait, I see a cucumber sandwich still left on the Royal Doltan....fair go old boy, with all these colored people taking our jobs away, it just aint cricket :D Dukkha

YET AGAIN Thaivisa.com alows slagging of the British ROYAL FAMILY on the forum.

  12. Is it correct that earlier this year the Interior Ministry revoked its order which bans the sale of alcohol on the birthdays of Their Majesties the King and Queen?

Will it be business as usual for the pubs and clubs this Tuesday? :D

    :o

  13. this thread is personification of all things nauseating at TV. whether the OP is a troll is irrelavent, though the more paranoid among you are certainly going to scream that the loudest

You sit comfortably behind a computer an heap abuse and judgement upon someone you know nothing about. you bring nationality into the issue, and make smug remarks about aids clinics and HIV tests.

I am certain that none of you superior intellects have ever cosseed the line with a woman, be she of any nationality. none of you could have ever gotten caught up in a moment and done something you regret.

If you have, i am sure you behaved responsibly if confronted with a potentially life changing situation.

How you of such moral standards as to call others cowards for having the sense to keep themselves out of harms way, can hide behind your own self rightousness when confronted with a real world situation that really will give you a chance to test your character simply astonishes me.

to the op, blood tests, DNA testing are available. blood tests will rule you out if you are lucky, if not it will at least include you in the running for fatherhood. then dna testing is possible

to hose of you in your glass houses, beware, irony is only humourous when you winess it. when it happens to you, its called karma.

now go back to feeling good about yourselves.

Got a bargirl up the stick in the past by any chance :o

  14. We're usually too busy doing stuff like going to the moon, pioneering new musical genres, inventing personal computers and the internet, removing evil dictators from power and such to give a flying fork.

In all of which i'm sure you played a major role. :o
