  1. Found this post from 2019, after Police Order 35/2562 came into force:
  2. I typically ignore those websites. However they did mention "new" requirements. Any Chiangmai experts, please chime in.
  3. From https://assistthaivisa.com/retirement-visa-chiangmai/ https://www.thaiembassy.com/thailand-visa/retirement-visa also gives 3 months. Hasn't it always been 2 months prior to the date of application? Is this a new requirement?
  4. You don't think gun control would help. I think it's the only thing worth trying now.
  5. The attacker was shot because he appeared to have a bomb vest on.
  6. Upper Northern Region Irrigation Hydrology Center data: https://hydro-1.net/
  7. Don't be so dramatic. Stretch bands like this: https://shopee.co.th/O-OOUP-Resistance-Band-ออกกําลัง-ยางฟิตเนส-weight-training-ยางยืดแรงต้าน-6-ระดับ-ยางยืดออกกำลังกาย-i.1274641913.27538970785 You can train calves and other muscles with them with consistency, with the option to overload progressively, indoors or outdoors.
  8. Since you want to save money, I'd suggest exercise (stretch) bands.
  9. What you don't get is that "Off the beaten track" is not marked in the right column topic summaries. Don't you know what the right column is?
  10. Thank you for your condescension. My comment relates to headline summaries in the right column that drive traffic here, because it appears to be the news.
  11. Not what I said at all. My suggestion relates to posts under "Off the beaten track"
  12. I know the mods have their policy but allow me to offer a different perspective. In the right column of the webpage, some posts have tags like "Thailand News" "Report" A constant stream of posts like the OP, without a tag, that appears in the right column can be mistaken for news, which it isn't. May I suggest AN tags similar posts with something like "Alternative Posts" or "Alternative Opinion" so AN doesn't give a wrong impression.
  13. Blows my mind that the UK can't deport persona non grata / illegal immigrants without major legal blocks.
  14. Those "famous quotes" were mined out of context. Just try the pilot quote for instance and get the whole segment.
  15. I don't see unity in the short term too. Fortunately major segments of both left and right are appealing for calm.
  16. This video throws the BBC production in a different light
  17. For one, I consider myself right-of-center, and I don't agree with everything Kirk argued for. In fact some of his arguments probably would not survive a higher level of debate. That said, debate was his forte, so his sound-bites plucked out of context will sound very offensive. If you zoom out a bit you may see a different picture.
  18. The timing and degree of release will be critical. I hope they get it right this year.
  19. Call Chiangmai Ram Hospital and ask Tel: +66-(0)52-004699
  20. after 10 articles with the subject "action needed to stem baht currency aberrations" it's amazing no government official has come out with credible reasons for the unusually strong baht
  21. Things are out of hand, and of course it will matter if it's political or not.
  22. Yes you are correct we should wait for further investigations and real data. However your threshold for a political motive is much too high.
