I know the mods have their policy but allow me to offer a different perspective. In the right column of the webpage, some posts have tags like "Thailand News" "Report" A constant stream of posts like the OP, without a tag, that appears in the right column can be mistaken for news, which it isn't. May I suggest AN tags similar posts with something like "Alternative Posts" or "Alternative Opinion" so AN doesn't give a wrong impression.

Those "famous quotes" were mined out of context. Just try the pilot quote for instance and get the whole segment.

I don't see unity in the short term too. Fortunately major segments of both left and right are appealing for calm.

For one, I consider myself right-of-center, and I don't agree with everything Kirk argued for. In fact some of his arguments probably would not survive a higher level of debate. That said, debate was his forte, so his sound-bites plucked out of context will sound very offensive. If you zoom out a bit you may see a different picture.

The timing and degree of release will be critical. I hope they get it right this year.

Yes you are correct we should wait for further investigations and real data. However your threshold for a political motive is much too high.
