  1. What was actually ordered by ICJ surely has to be noted, even on a new thread, clearly after reading what the ICJ ordered there is a case of Israel doing wrong, if you take account of Israel's actions since the Order was adopted.
  2. All very "plausible" but there you go, wouldn't have expected anything else from the pro-Israel lobby on here, damned if you do, damned if you don't.

  4. Bottled it Campaign Against Antisemitism has cancelled its planned counter-protest against a pro-Palestinian march through central London on Saturday. The group, led by Gideon Falter, had said it wanted to use the “walk together” initiative to support its view that the area around the planned pro-Palestinian march was not safe for Jewish people. But on Friday afternoon CAA announced that its event had been cancelled amid pressure from those within the Jewish community who feared it could backfire. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2024/apr/26/campaign-against-antisemitism-cancels-counter-protest-london-pro-palestinian-march
  5. CORE PROGRAMME BUDGET All contributions to the UNRWA Programme Budget go directly towards serving the Palestine refugees the Agency is mandated to protect and assist. UNRWA is committed to transparency and accountability, with sensible investment in fundraising and communication, and prudent expenditure on management support and administration. UNDERSTANDING THE UNRWA FUNDING STRUCTURE UNRWA is mandated by the General Assembly under resolution 302(IV) to respond to the needs of more than 5.6 million refugees in its five fields of operation until a just and durable solution is found to the refugee issue. Based on this mandate, UNRWA delivers essential services in the areas of education, health, protection, relief and social services, microfinance and camp improvement with the support of more than 28,000 national Palestinian staff members. https://www.unrwa.org/how-you-can-help/how-we-spend-funds/core-programme-budget
  6. ISTANBUL (AP) — A top Hamas political official told The Associated Press the Islamic militant group is willing to agree to a truce of five years or more with Israel and that it would lay down its weapons and convert into a political party if an independent Palestinian state is established along pre-1967 borders. The comments by Khalil al-Hayya in an interview Wednesday came amid a stalemate in months of talks for a cease-fire in Gaza. The suggestion that Hamas would disarm appeared to be a significant concession by the militant group officially committed to Israel’s destruction. But it’s unlikely Israel would consider such a scenario. It has vowed to crush Hamas following the deadly Oct. 7 attacks that triggered the war, and its current leadership is adamantly opposed to the creation of a Palestinian state on lands Israel captured in the 1967 Mideast war. https://apnews.com/article/hamas-khalil-alhayya-qatar-ceasefire-1967-borders-4912532b11a9cec29464eab234045438#:~:text=ISTANBUL (AP) — A top, established along pre-1967 borders.
  7. Is there really a need to find a body/group to blame Israel's loss of the so called propaganda agender. Normal human beings see the carnage in the Middle East and want it stopped, sadly the majority of their Governments don't have that opinion or this could have ended years ago. To me it is all about political influence and economics, your everyday man/woman in the street only see the bodies and the excuses made by their politicians, change has got to come.
  8. A new mechanism for getting lifesaving aid into Gaza will start in the coming days, UN Senior Humanitarian and Reconstruction Coordinator Sigrid Kaag announced in a briefing to the Security Council on Wednesday. “The operationalisation of the mechanism will allow for pipeline prioritisation, predictability, visibility and tracking of supplies to Gaza,” she told ambassadors. The new plan stemmed from Security Council resolution 2720, adopted in December, which established Ms. Kaag’s position and requested her to forge a UN mechanism to accelerate aid deliveries into the war-torn enclave, which now faces looming famine. https://news.un.org/en/story/2024/04/1148956
  9. Fleeing Palestinians gunned down despite waving white flags, buildings flattened with whole families inside - the Israeli army has been widely condemned for its conduct in Gaza. Israel blames Hamas for hiding behind civilians, and for starting the conflict with its October 7th attack. It’s rare to hear from soldiers who’ve served on the ground, but tonight one Israeli soldier tells us that what he witnessed turned him against Israel’s war. He's voiced by an actor to protect his identity. And a warning you may find some images upsetting.
  10. No, definitely not, I've been trying to buy a bottle of Harvey's Bristol Cream for ages, never seen any over here, has anybody?
  11. If you consider that hate speech you need to get a sense of humour.
  12. The only reason you have the hump with whoever is in charge of Policing is because you cannot understand the way people feel about the carnage being committed in Gaza and elsewhere. It's not about what happened on the 7/10, it's about what has happened after, modern comms are now getting out to a wider audience than before and Israel cannot control what the general population around the world sees. Yes, I now the atrocities of 7/10by Hamas were despicable for the people concerned and yes Israel has a right to defend themselves but the whole World are not on the side of Israel, personally I've seen the same problems year after year, now there must be a different approach to this problem. What the answer is I have no idea, greater minds than ours will eventually sort it out peacefully but this cannot continue as it is.
  13. First 2 paragraphs: The commissioner of the Metropolitan police has praised the “professional” conduct of the sergeant who stopped an antisemitism campaigner at a pro-Palestinian march and warned that officers at other protests had been “set up” by activists using “fakery” to undermine the force. In an interview with the Guardian, Mark Rowley said the sergeant involved in the incident with Gideon Falter would not be disciplined and vigorously defended the Met’s handling of the six months of protests since the 7 October attacks on Israel.
  14. Met police chief praises ‘professional’ conduct of officer in antisemitism row Exclusive: Mark Rowley says sergeant will not be disciplined and warns of ‘fakery’ by activists at other protests The commissioner of the Metropolitan police has praised the “professional” conduct of the sergeant who stopped an antisemitism campaigner at a pro-Palestinian march and warned that officers at other protests had been “set up” by activists using “fakery” to undermine the force. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2024/apr/22/met-police-chief-praises-professional-conduct-officer-antisemitism-row
  15. An independent panel released its much-awaited report on Monday about the UN relief agency for Palestine refugees (UNRWA), providing 50 recommendations and noting that Israeli authorities have yet to provide proof of their claims that UN staff are involved with terrorist organisations. “Israel made public claims that a significant number of UNRWA employees are members of terrorist organisations. However, Israel has yet to provide supporting evidence of this,” according to the 54-page final report, Independent review of mechanisms and procedures to ensure adherence by UNRWA to the humanitarian principle of neutrality. The UN Secretary-General, who received the final report at the weekend, had appointed the independent review group days after Israel announced the allegations against UNRWA, which employees 30,000 people and serves 5.9 million Palestine refugees in the West Bank, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and war-torn Gaza. https://news.un.org/en/story/2024/04/1148821
  16. I know exactly what I am writing, thankyou. Antisemitism, as such, is not a criminal offence. The law does not punish people for holding thoughts or beliefs, however unpleasant these may be. The same applies to Holocaust denial and criticism of Israel. It is only when people start to act on those thoughts or beliefs that the law steps in. It punishes actions rather than attitudes.
  17. Sadly this post is only regurgitating old news, at the end of the link is this statement: Gideon Falter, chief executive of the Campaign Against Antisemitism and the man at the heart of this debate, will be speaking to Sky News at around 9.20am today. Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNC3-KWafPs&t=53s&ab_channel=SkyNews Shame that Gideon Falter, chief executive of the Campaign Against Antisemitism and the man at the heart of this debate, then preceded to open his Jewish mouth, and tried eating his Jewish foot.
  18. Especially for you: Is antisemitism a crime? Antisemitism, as such, is not a criminal offence. The law does not punish people for holding thoughts or beliefs, however unpleasant these may be. The same applies to Holocaust denial and criticism of Israel. It is only when people start to act on those thoughts or beliefs that the law steps in. It punishes actions rather than attitudes. But the dividing line is not always clear and suspects may be allowed some leeway. A lot may depend on how prosecutors choose to exercise the discretion that the law gives them. Some of the crimes committed by antisemites — such as assault — may be committed by anybody and for any reason. But if criminals are motivated by hatred of Jews, they may be be punished more severely than other offenders. This guide looks at some of the charges that may be brought against people who commit antisemitic acts. But we begin with a warning. Many crimes are never investigated by the police. Many of the crimes that the police investigate never get as far as a prosecution. Many prosecutions collapse without anyone being convicted. And many convicted offenders receive sentences that their victims regard as lenient. Even if you have been the victim of an offence listed in this guide, you may feel that justice has not been done in your case. Campaign Against Antisemitism helps victims and witnesses of antisemitic incidents to secure justice. One more warning: the law is very complicated and this guide has tried to make it easier to understand. In simplifying it, we have left out refinements and possible defences that may make all the difference in an individual case. We have shown you where to look for more information but you would be wise not to proceed without proper legal advice from a solicitor or barrister. https://antisemitism.org/law/introduction/#is-antisemitism-a-crime
  19. Yeah, I know. Arrests at pro-Palestine protests in London attended by millions of people last year resulted in just 36 charges – despite attempts by senior politicians to label them as “mass extremism” and “openly criminal”. The low number of actual arrests and prosecutions undermines the narrative, pushed by senior Tory leaders, that the protests are a danger to public safety. Home secretary James Cleverly said last week that the organisers possessed “real evil intent”, and his predecessor Suella Braverman today repeated her frequent calls for the weekly marches to be banned. But despite the vast numbers of police deployed around the protests at a cost of £22m, officers appear only to have been able to find a handful of instances of wrongdoing. A number of charges were brought under the new Public Order Act while seven people were charged with assault and three with possession of a weapon. Cleverly told the Jewish News last week that the police were now making “significant arrests” for antisemitic hate crimes at the marches. Yet data published by Operation Brocks, which the Met calls its “response to the ongoing conflict in Israel and Gaza and its impact on London”, reveals that between October and the end of December, there were only 153 arrests – with the majority of people, 117, being released without charge. https://www.opendemocracy.net/en/palestine-gaza-protests-arrests-metropolitan-police-suella-braverman-glastonbury/
  20. Yes, great, now back on topic, openly Jewish man, a charlatan, lucky not to be arrested, maybe next march on Saturday 27th April 2024, if he dares to show his face.
  21. If he has an agenda, you're having a laugh, Mark Rowland resigning over this, no chance, pro-Palestinian marches being cancelled, the UK government wouldn't dare there would be uproar on the streets, terrorists on these marches, so funny, less arrests over the 6 months of this than at a 3rd division football match.
  22. Yes, he is a Jew clearly, a Jew with an agenda that was great one day but then it all fell apart. Yes, loads of Jewish people on these marches from day one, no there isn't says Falter, then it's toy's out of the pram time, man's a charlatan who got found wanting on all counts. From the river to the sea, everyone should be free.
