This is actually good advice. We should not throw gifts and money at women. Never, ever. They have a remarkable ability to forget good deeds you have done. It doesn't count for anything. You can't control women at all anyway, least of all with money. If she's with you because of money if someone with more comes along you're done, quite so. Yes, you really only know over time what a person is really like. It's easy to fake it for half a year, a year, some can do it for 6 years or longer. This is, by a long distance, by far the best advice on this thread. And the key is to qualify the woman properly before you go all in, ie make sure she can be trusted. I learned that the hard way after a Filipina kindly taught me this lesson. The problem is if you really want to know a person you have to push her to the limit, be in an extreme situation. Only then will you really find out what she is like, if she can really be trusted. Sometimes you dont' find out the true character of a woman after 6 years or longer. Alimony only comes into play if you cannot agree terms with the wife on divorce. If you agree terms with the wife you don't have to pay alimony.
