Condo "visitors" required to deposit ID
Wish all condos did this. We had problems with airbnbs in the building. Also good for people who bring back bar girls, the ones who pretend they are girlfriends and wake up with no wallet and lime delete etc

Radar detectors; Do they work? V-7 V-9 @ around 250 baht (lazada)
There are some stretches of road that are deliberately set to a too low limit, with active cameras. One is the toll road out of Bangkok to Pattaya. And there are stretches of road with terrible drivers (for example to Kanchanaburi)where you want to be doing a different speed (in bursts)to other traffic, to remain safe. But that really depends on if built up area, junctions etc. It's all about risk management of driver and other road users/pedestrians/motorbikes.

Decided against purchasing a C40 after researching range figures on various YouTube tests. Much higher consumption per mile than anything else. Not sure how Volvo can claim 'up to 590km'. It's just so far from the truth. Wd be lucky to see 375km in normal driving, as for motorway driving, it's around 250km.

Motorway M81 to Kanchanaburi
Anyone know when trials start? I passed an entrance ramp in Kanchanaburi a couple of weeks ago and tbh cdnt see any barriers stopping traffic going up on to it. If of interest the motorway link to Myanmar border- It's on this website if anyone is wondering what route it will take over river (a fair way before Kanchanaburi town thankfully) https://www.motorway-m81.com/en/รายละเอียดโครงการ

Electric Vehicles in Thailand
Did brief test drive of C40. A few issues but impressive(an older design has some benefits). Acceleration was nuts About EX30, this model launches in September. Two models, no info on top line one but probably a standard and LR model. Price starts at around 1.5m

That cheaper price is for 'new' single motor version of XC40 and C40 is 100k more. Around 7.3- 7.4 secs to 100kph Downside is its the smaller battery version. I see reviews getting around 210 miles.. not sure if it's old front wheel.drive or new rear wheel drive version, which has many improvements. The twin motor C40 can be had with discounts too, I'm getting offers around 2.55m
