A LONG-TAIL boat carrying seven Chinese tourists plus the vessel’s crew members capsized off Krabi today (Feb. 11) but fortunately all were safely rescued by a passing boat, Amarin TV said.

The accident occurred near Koh Lao Lading island, around 300 metres from Koh Hong with the two islands being part of Krabi’s Than Bok Khorani National Park.

The long-tail boat capsized after being hit by high waves with the tourists and crew members struggling to stay afloat in the middle of the sea.

Every space-capable nation has the "ability" to deploy an anti-satellite weapon, it is simply a small gun with laser or other range-finding/locking systems, very simple to do.

They don't do it, because of a treaty signed way back when, including by Russia.

If Russia does deploy it, they are breaking the treaty, which then brings the world a minute or seconds closer to MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) on the famous Doomsday Clock.

Do we have a minute to spare?

I tend to think that any girl making a false accusation needs to receive what would be double the penalty for rape or sexual assault is. Eg if he would have had 7 years, she would get 14. You really have to be a vile and evil person to try to send an innocent person to jail for something that didn't happen. Restitution my eye!

That’ll never happen. He simple gets let go.

It has fasinated me for years that people can believe in god and that Jesus was born to his virgin mother .

When you realize that there are so many billions of planets across hundreds of billions of light years.

It must be great to believe in a God and that one day you will be reunited with your loved ones a lady once said to me that she knows she will meet Jesus when she dies,i thought gosh he must be busy sitting down with the billions of people who die.

Do you really believe in him or any of the other Gods ?

On February 15th, 2024, Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul disclosed directives following a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin. Governors were instructed to conduct field inspections and engage communities to halt illegal agricultural burning.

The Ministry of the Interior, Natural Resources and Environment, and Royal Thai Army united per the Prime Minister’s order to assist locals in agricultural disposal and explore alternatives to crop burning.

Anutin convened with northern governors in Chiang Rai to address PM 2.5 concerns. While Chiang Mai boasted good air quality recently, Kanchanaburi faced troubling hot spots, prompting Anutin’s intervention.

In the Bangkok Metropolitan Region, remote work measures were under consideration alongside intensified vehicle emissions checks. Anutin noted these initiatives aligned with ongoing discussions on amendments to the Clean Air Act bill.

    My Fellow Members of TV:

I have lived a LONG time.

During my time on Earth, I have never been bothered by parasites, be they internal or "external" parasites, nor the parasites of Pattaya, of which I have read much on TV.

But now, truth be told, I am suffering, My Fellows.

    Therefore, what to do?

In my case, I believe I am now plagued by two types of parasites:

    1.  The Scabies parasite

    2.  The common dust mite

As to how this could have happened, I have been racking my brain trying to understand this terrible turn of events in my life.

I will not bore you with the particulars concerning what it FEELS LIKE to be INFESTED.

Someday, if you are unlucky enough, you might discover for yourselves, first hand, just what a pleasurable experience this might be.

Here, now, I am asking for your support and advice concerning how best to rid myself of these pesky parasites, all in one go.

For example, I have thought about buying a 10-dollah tent, pitching the tent in my compound, on the lawn, and sleeping, working, and relaxing, out in the very hot sun of Thailand, just waiting for the parasites to realize that their kind host has left them, just waiting for them to die, Die, DIE!

I will be pleased to answer any pertinent questions concerning my environment and my living conditions, just so that you might suggest the best strategy for ridding me of these BEASTLY Bugs!

If you wish, I will be happy to upload photos supporting my claim that I am, indeed, thoroughly infested.

During the recent months of my infestation, life has not been so pleasant, which is only to be expected.

And, I dearly HOPE that you ALL will never be called upon, by LIFE, to endure what I have been enduring during these difficult months.

    Any suggestions?

If so, then you know where to post your thoughts....

HERE, in the comments section below.

Wishing all on TV health and happiness in Thailand....

    Regards,

    Gamma

NOTE:  While living on The Main Line, just outside of Philly, I never expected or anticipated that, one day, I might be infested by TWO Types of parasites, all at once.  Those were the good ole days.  Yet, never say never, and it has happened to me, in my golden years.  I hope this never happens to you.  When I lived on the Main Line, we had servants to manage things like parasites.  And now, I find, in my twilight years, that I must deal with this semi-difficult, and troublesome, situation, myself.

But now worries, because, I shall overcome.

Stop smoking yaba. And pharmacy will tell you what to do and you don’t even need a prescription for scabies cream. But eat an orange before you get rickets Too!!

Kind of working through the guy's logic, I can't think of any safer place he thought he could be than the downstream side of airport security, if a gang was trying to shoot him.

Maybe not 100% safe, but a lot safer than laid out on the tarmac, had he been successful at opening the door.  Or anywhere in public outside of airport security...

It would be quite the "Told you so" moment if he gets shot by a Vietnamese gang on his way out of Thailand.

Everyone on earth knows his whereabouts now.

In the dim-lit streets of Soi Buakhao, Pattaya, chaos erupted as a German national found himself entangled in a brutal altercation with Go-Go bar thugs in the early hours of yesterday, leaving him nursing injuries to his left ear.

The 46 year old German tourist, Mike Groebiinghoff, accompanied by his Thai girlfriend, innocently sought a parking spot in front of the bar. However, their night took a menacing turn when a group of unruly Go-Go bar brutes callously seized the space, sparking fury in the German tourist. Despite persistent honks from the couple, the staff remained obstinate, refusing to vacate the area.

What ensued was a heated exchange escalating swiftly into a violent confrontation, with Groebiinghoff at the receiving end of the Go-Go ruffians’ fury, aided by additional bar hoodlums. Distraught by the harrowing ordeal, Groebiinghoff wasted no time in seeking police intervention, reported Pattaya Mail.

However, the path to justice hit a snag as initial investigations revealed that crucial CCTV footage from the scene mysteriously vanished, with the bar management citing technical glitches. Undeterred, authorities advised Groebiinghoff to file a formal complaint at the Pattaya City Police Station.

I was on one of those buses on the. Afternoon of the 3rd. I believe I was the only to use the seat belt. So all those other bodies slam into me. I say make it a law. So I am not wasting my time wearing one

Made up a story about being kidnapped!

A recent incident involving a young Englishman claiming abduction for ransom has led to a collaborative effort between the Royal Thai Police (RTP) and Interpol.

The unfolding drama occurred as the man, accompanied by four foreign friends, was residing in a Pattaya hotel room, reported Daily News .

During a subsequent police search, both narcotics and unregistered firearms were discovered. Allegedly, the group had fabricated a kidnapping story to extort money from their families, unaware of the serious consequences they would face.

On January 26, Pol. Lt. Gen. Tetsakan Sathasivan, RTP Commissioner, issued a directive for a crackdown, supervised by Pol. Col. Montree Thetkhan, Deputy Commander of RTP, and Pol. Lt. Col. Sarawut Saengjun, Commander of Special Operations Unit 2.

The operation resulted in the apprehension of Mr. Ian and Mr. Damien, British nationals facing charges of drug possession and illegal firearm possession. Another Englishman, Mr. Darren, is similarly charged with drug-related offenses.

The investigation revealed that the group, grappling with financial difficulties during their prolonged stay in Thailand, devised a plan to deceive their families into sending money by fabricating a kidnapping.

Despite uncovering drugs and firearms in the hotel room, the police operation found no evidence of an actual abduction. The suspects now await legal proceedings under Thai law.

On Saturday I found a text message on my 'phone purporting to be from the PEA. It was in Thai but a  family member translated it and it was a notification to settle my electricity bill immediately as it was 2 months in arrears. I keep all receipts and I knew I was up to date.

This morning I went to the local PEA office in Sanpatong with my folder of receipts and showed the staff the message, it was immediately denounced as fake.

I also discovered that my neighbour had also found a letter in shape of an official looking form in the box which is used by the meter reader to leave the bill. This was also denounced as fraudulent.

My text message require me to log on to a website to settle the bill.

The URL is "www.pea.vz-th.com " and the telepohone number it came from is +66660269886.

I do not know if the attempted scam is local or widespread, but I share it as a warning.
