  1. Yup. I walk it in the mornings and they're still there. And trust me when I say it's not just booze, drug use is no doubt rampant. How else are they staying up all night? Many are still around at 8 am. I've heard of youthful energy, but this is ridiculous. And the police cars with their red lights on drive by. That's tellin em!
  2. 15 years? LOL. That's not so long, hahahahaha
  3. Hahahahaha Ah yes, just what Thailand needs, a spaceship. Hey, how about taking care of all the poor people first before you buy rockets, war planes, etc. Ridiculous!
  4. Fighting over a hoe, lol Yes, they love you long time. "You handsome man". Hahahahahahaha
  5. Drunk Brits beat up by bouncers in Pattaya? That's news? I'm sure they weren't thrown out because they were acting properly. My guess is that they were loud, obnoxious and abusive to the girls. Just a guess. I could be wrong.
  6. What would Buddha say?
  7. Yeah, I saw that and shrugged. 1) Most of their "crackdowns" never come to pass. It's just some government official blowing hot air. 2) It hasn't happened yet so why worry about it. 3) Like the article says, the government is in chaos at the moment. Getting things done here makes the US Congress look good. So relax and enjoy Thailand everyone. The odds are that when and if there are any changes (and by then the whole uproar over those murders and any supposed "crackdown" will be largely forgotten), it will be a requirement of one or two simple additional documents. But I doubt it.
  8. Thank the lord! We live near there. It's been holy hell along with all the other traffic and construction going on. Do these people have to do all these projects at the same time so close together? It's beyond ridiculous! And the police are no help. No traffic controls. No added U turns. Nothing.
  9. As an American I wish I could disagree, but the USA is becoming a third world country. There are many issues. The middle class is gone, there is rich and poor. The political situation is a mess. The country is being run by a lot of people in their 80's who are out of touch with reality and there's a strong possibility the former President and crook is coming back in 2024. Gun violence is at an all time high. And frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if an all out revolution breaks out between left and right. Nothing gets done in Washington because of the political infighting, nor in state houses. The far right is crazy and the far left has allowed bedlam to infest the cities. I'm so glad I don't live there anymore. I still visit, but I find the situation very sad.
  10. I think that's a solid prediction. Any other predictions? Like maybe "it will rain in the next week"?
  11. Oh my god. Grow some will you?
  12. Sadly that's right. Isn't it about time he dies already? You'd hope those cheeseburgers, ice cream and coke would do their work already.
  13. Wow! What a hero! They should make him Prime Minister!!!!
  14. Joy! I was just saying today "what we need here is more tourists". The roads are already clogged with busses and taxis. May be time to move again.
  15. This is likely to tank both the economy and the Baht, but hey, these guys don't care. I still truly believe the people will be heard from. The end result of the Arab Spring may have not been real positive, but they certainly made a lot of noise. I think the people who voted for Pita and many other Thais feel just like the kids who have been protesting. I'm surprised there aren't more people out on the streets demanding real Democracy in Thailand.
  16. I'll believe it when I see it, lol
