  1. :o

I don't know why when asked which car is best people answer Fortuner since when is a modified pick-up a car, I would go for Camry or Accord for comfort then it depends how much you want to spend.

Is this so to any meningful extent? Any more than any other 'suv' in Europe/America?

Is this also true of every other such vehicle in Thailand? eg the Honda CRV et al.?

Is there a website in english with info on the Fortuner?

If I were contemplating buying a Fortuner would owners or those in the know advize me to look for a fairly recent 2nd hand one or buy new, on the criterion of value for money? Or if I had the flexibility should I hold off pending an imminent improved/new model?

    Appreciate your comments.

If you want value for money then the Toyota brand is the best, cost servicing and parts etc I brought a sportsrider 4 years ago its done over 200k now and i have never had a problem with it ,don't want to change it

  2. Okay I just found Pansy's card with price list and phone number 02 252 7594 or 02 651 4990

Price for a 1 hour facial is Thb 850. I think they do the blackhead squeezing thing, I generally ask for a soothing one and don't go for the extraction action.

Your Face in Central Bangna floor 5 is excellent , prices range from 500 to 1500 depending on which face mask you want, the 500 baht session is around 1 hour using steam /face cleansing (blackhead removal) etc . By becoming a member you can get a number of free facials wll worth a visit been established for over 4 years now - recommended.

  3. I live near Chon Buri and i usually go to pattaya for my 90 day address check in ( i have a 1 yr marriage visa), however i was told recently i could do this check in at suvarnabhumi, does anyone know if this is correct and if so where is the visa consulate at suvarnabhumi.

Imm have a desk in the Novotel Hotel at the airport where you can do your 90 day report, however its closed until the middle of this month due to the staff being transferred to the airport whilst the peak season is in its full swing. Give the hotel a call and ask for the Imm desk, they will confirm when the desk will reopen.

No idea if you can do this in the airport, somehow doubt it.

    Thanks for the info.

  4. I have been interested reading the many stories relating to obtaining various visa's. I have just renewed my yearly marriage visa for the fourth time without any problems. My advice to long term residents with Thai wives is to be friendly and get to know the people in the visa section because you have to go every three months to 'check in' and if you are nice to them they will no doubt be more accommodating to you, staff do not change that often and there is a good chance you will see the same person every year, if you are married to a thai you need to be armed with the following information:

Passport, wifes id card, photograph of you with your wife (and children if any) , marriage certificate, birth certificates of children if applicable, house registration document if applicable, bank book, a letter from the bank confirming the balance and when the account was opened ( the book is not enough) and two passport size photographs of yourself. All these documents need to be photocopied 2 copies per item and your passport needs your information page copied (2) plus the page with your arrival stamp (2) plus your arrival card (2) and any other year visa's issued (2)

Try to copy all these documents before you come because the copy facility at the visa sections is usually expensive around 5 baht per copy.

IT IS CORRECT YOU NEED TO HAVE 400000 BAHT MINIMUM in your bank account for the 1 year marriage visa , however over the last two years i have always transfered the money into my bank account 1 week before going to get my letter from the bank and renewing my visa so the 3 MONTH RULE is not hard and fast in my experience with regard to the 40000 income per month i have not explored this route yet so i can not comment.

I obtained my new 1 year visa today, total interview time once (you have all the documnets copied ) approx 10 mins.
