Bangkok airports hit turbulence: Ranked among world’s worst
Georgealbert replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
The incident was not good and showed poor maintenance/management, but happened at Don Mueang Airport, not Suvarnabhumi. -
Expired 5 year driving licence renewal, Banglamung
Georgealbert replied to Moti24's topic in Pattaya
If you do it after your renewal date, the new license will be 5 years after your next birthday. So for example, do it a week after expiry date and you will get 5 years 51 weeks. Renewal date is always now your birthday. Plus you have 12 months after expiry to renew. -

Thai airlines soar to record profits amid tourism boom
Georgealbert replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The airlines maybe back in profit, but the passengers seem not to be so happy about the two Bangkok airports. https://thethaiger.com/news/national/bangkok-airports-hit-turbulence-ranked-among-worlds-worst -
Did have a couple of times about a month ago when playback jumped a few times during programmes. If changing server dies not help, I have no other suggestion. I normally get fast replies if I message through their telegram group. https://t.me/hdprime I have also just tested mine on my phone without wifi, and still getting live TV streaming ok. Not saying HDprime is problem free, but lately had no problems. I am in Sattahip area on 3BB, but that should not make a diffrence.

Since my earlier post been running non stop with no problems, even played a complete reruns of Dads Army. I have tried it on a few devices, android box, online on PC and streaming through Apple TV and sorry again no problems. Have you checked which server you are using? Mine is set to TV server A. I have found changing server in the past helps if there is a problem. Have you messaged them, you can contact them through telegram.

Just checked mine, live TV ok, tested about 15 different channels. Catch up also working ok. Not had any recent problems. I am on 3BB with a lot slower speed than OP.

Could be, that is one of the main six underlying reasons why someone might commit arson. Background checks and evidence should determine why the fires were set. The six main reasons for arson are normally. 1. The ‘for profit’ arsonist, where someone can profit from the arson attack . This includes extortion, or destroying a property to clear a piece of land. 2. Pyromaniacs, those who light fires for thrills and attention. 3. Crime concealment, where the arson is secondary to the concealment of another serious crime. 4. Revenge arson, when the offenders are emotionally driven, and set fires out of anger or hatred, or for revenge for a perceived wrong. 5. Extremist motivations, driven by religious, political or social agendas. 6. Vandalism, which are typically by juveniles.

Here we go again. Time for the AN low life to come out and defend the indefensible , or lets have a bit of the what about this that and the other incidents, which are totally irrelevant to this incident. This is not a minor case, it is an act carried out by a moron, without self control, full of his own superiority complex, a loser now and, just like many here, was a loser, I expect, in his own country. If you do not like my post then good, maybe you should ask why you do not like it, maybe reflects on your own characteristics and true nature. This fool, like many, lacks the intelligence to see how stupid he is.

Extending ‘marriage visa’
Georgealbert replied to Robertoj's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Yes agree A new KorRor 2 is required because the Thai marriage is normally followed by Thai divorce, so the system data is automatically updated. It is enough of a problem to register an oversea marriage to get a KorRor22, so almost no one is going to be bothered to register an overseas divorce. So the original KorRor22 is accepted, but wife still has to be present for extension. -
New airport planned for Kalasin to boost tourism and exports
Georgealbert replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
AOT are looking at feasibility of Phang Nga Airport, to be the second Phuket airport, and would service both tourists for Phuket and Krabi. The PM recently described the airport, to be in the second stage of development. If built, earliset expected completion date is 2031. The AOT proposal for a second Chiang Mai airport, is in Lamphun province and if ever given the green light, would take at least seven years to complete. Currently being pushed by the PM. The DOA plans seems to risk more “ghost” airports, with little or no commercial flights. Many existing DOA airport can only cater for turbo prop planes. Bangkok Airways being the only large domestic airline with ATR aircraft fleet. -
New airport planned for Kalasin to boost tourism and exports
Georgealbert replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
Thanks, that just shows the AOT data, which covers flights in and out of the larger Thai airports, and allows for continued planning for increased flights, driven by increasing airport transport needs. This 2019 data showing traffic at that time through the DOA top 10 airport, per year, and seems to be why AOT wanted to take over Krabi and Udon Thani at that time. AOT also in 2019 wanted Buriram and Tak. 1. Krabi Airport: 26,457 flights, 3,908,953 passengers 2. Udon Thani Airport: 18,495 flights, 2,573,169 passengers 3. Surat Thani Airport: 12,809 flights, 1,933,549 passengers 4. Khon Kaen Airport: 14,356 flights, 1,922,380 passengers 5. Ubon Ratchathani Airport: 12,033 flights, 1,812,371 passengers 6. Nakhon Si Thammarat Airport: 15,969 flights, 1,482,802 passengers 7. Phitsanulok Airport: 5,743 flights, 709,933 passengers 8. Trang Airport: 4,514 flights, 698,914 passengers 9. Nan Nakhon Airport: 3,554 flights, 421,790 passengers 10. Nakhon Phanom Airport: 2,835 flights, 401,241 passengers I had the pleasure of doing a small safety consulting/investigation contract for an international airline, which allowed some insight into how the Thai agencies approached things. -
New airport planned for Kalasin to boost tourism and exports
Georgealbert replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
One of the problems, is there are 2 agencies involved in the running of Thai airports (groups of old boys), AOT and DOT, each are independent, with their own policies, management, budgets and priorities. Both agencies are part of the Ministry of Transport. Both agencies have to justify their budgets every year, and no one likes/wants cuts. The problems are that very little is researched into the passenger/cargo demand, so difficult to attract airlines and flights. The 2019 disagreement between AOT and DOA, about AOT taking over some of the DOA airports, reflects how differently the two agencies work. Most smaller airports are not profitable. This 2022 story sums up the issue. https://smartaviation-apac.com/thailand-presses-on-with-provincial-airport-developments-despite-having-low-or-no-commercial-air-traffic/ -
Expired 5 year driving licence renewal, Banglamung
Georgealbert replied to Moti24's topic in Pattaya
Banglamung will require a residence certificate. By doing it after renewal date, you get longer out of the new licence, up to almost 6 years. Did mine a few months ago, and was not able to do an online appointment, they were not available for non Thai. Went to the centre to check the situation, there was two tented areas outside, one desk deals with all non Thais. Lady gave me a list of documents required and made an appointment for a couple of days later. -

Power Bank Explosion Causes Panic on AirAsia Flight
Georgealbert replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Another incident, with an li-ion battery. Turning the passengers phones off would have not prevented this. A Breeze Airways flight MX-555 from Los Angeles to Pittsburgh with 88 passengers, was about 150 miles northwest of Albuquerque, when the crew decided to divert to Albuquerque reporting a laptop had caught fire due to thermal runaway of the li-ion battery. The cabin crew extinguished the fire and secured the laptop, and the aircraft landed safely at Albuquerque. The owner of the laptop was checked by paramedics at the airport and released. The aircraft remained on the ground in Albuquerque for about 23 hours, then continued the flight as MX-8555 and reached Pittsburgh with a delay of about 23.5 hours. The FAA reported they are going to investigate the occurrence. https://bnnbreaking.com/aviation/laptop-fire-diverts-breeze-airways-flight-to-albuquerque-quick-response-averts-crisis -
Nok Air’s Boeing 737 max 8 plans hit turbulence
Georgealbert replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Seems that Boeings’ problems, are not stopping the airlines placing new orders. Then again the airlines have very little commercial choice, with Airbus and Boeing having most of the market. Given the delays and backlogs of orders, the airlines seem to want to spread their orders so they can hope to increase fleets to keep up with demand. The Chinese alternative aircraft, Comac C919, is no where near being certified outside of China. https://www.reuters.com/business/aerospace-defense/american-airlines-orders-260-new-aircraft-airbus-boeing-embraer-2024-03-04/ -

Foreign Man Throws Glass At A Thai Woman In A Dog Cafe

I still think you have something to do with this idiot, as you seem to want to defend him and shame her on every post. I would like to agree with your comment, but that would just mean we both would then be wrong. -
Yes sorry I completely miss read your link. Have deleted my comment, saves me looking anymore stupid. But thank you for the link, interesting.

It is not just Thailand, but money rules in most of SE Asia, it just depends if you can afford it. Many others have bought their way out of serious crimes and once the viral media coverage moves on, things will return to normal, that is what will happen here.

The threat to revoke is just a way to increase the amount he will pay. Is it corruption, yes and no. Self inflicted problems, but now seems there is a bit of a history and he has enough money to make himself a bit untouchable. I guess in a few weeks this problem will just disappear, and he will carry on as normal, that is the SE Asian way.

5555 That is one of the symptoms, it provides them with the arrogant attitude, so they can avoid their own ignorance.
