  1. Amazing how matter fact you ask about how to kill these cute little creatures of nature. You sound pretty cold. Why don't you just clean your house when you come back from being away for three weeks. You have to dust anyway..clean the poop while your at it and don't kill. You will feel better for it..

  2. Called the Tourist Police? Are you a tourist? It doesn't sound like it.

    "I work at home"

So you have a work permit? If not, perhaps you should not be making a stink.

Anyway, I think your are expecting too much and only hope you do not end up with a whole big lot more than you expect.

But with your great Thai language skills and corresponding cultural understanding, you should do better than most.

I was wondering how long it would take for the farang "work permit police" to post...I'm sure you are real concerned weather he has one or not Ha HA

  3. looks Delicious, but I would put a little fresh tomato sauce on top. Is that an option for customers?

I'll try to come up with a fresh tomato sauce (I'm guessing you're Australian and what Australians call tomato sauce we Americans call ketchup or catsup) today.

American and grew up on Italian American food. No Ketchup please!!! I thought you already had been making a sauce for your pasta dishes. I'm suggesting you put a little sauce on top of the sausages.

  4. I believe you can get the police clearance from the Royal Thai police. Sometime ago, the process was on their website. It is the main police station in the area of Mah Boon Krong in downtown Bangkok.

If you have one from your home country, that has been acceptable in the past.

In the past, we have not sent prospective teachers to get the non-immigrant B without the documents.

Thanks. Do you think it's possible to get it in Chiang Mai?

  5. I will be going to Vientiane soon to apply for a Non-immigrant B for teaching English. I looked at the Thai Embassy(Vientiane) web site and read the list of requirements. Item 4 on the web site says: Copy of police check or certificate of no criminal record. It does not specify if the check should be done from the home country or here in Thailand. I also read the pinned posts here on TV on the subject of police checks. Some posters talk about getting it from a Thai police station and others talk about getting it from their home country. I'm from the US. Does anyone know which one is required by the embassy in Vientiane?

If anyone has applied recently in Vientiane can you tell me what documents you were actually asked for when you applied? Also if anyone has been anywhere else such as Cambodia or Malaysia, or Singapore please advice on the documents required.

    Thanks

    Bungalow B.

  6. I am Italian and the best place in Bangkok is the Lemoncello. They have an imported oven form Italy. Here is there location. Lemoncello 17 Sukhumvit 11Khlong Tan Nuea, Vadhana, Bangkok 10110

02-6510707. Have fun. I only wish it was closer to my house.

I agree Limoncello is the best. There is or was another place off of a lower number Sukumvit Soi that also has great Pizza and an oven(wood burning) imported from Italy....I can't remember the name of it..anybody?

  7. I'm in PP at the moment and am using Mr. Keo's services. I've brought a copy of my return flight back to Bangkok and a copy of my lease of my condo in Bangkok and will be picking up my passport with 2x entry tourist visa tomorrow morning.

To the OP, with your proof of return flight and 5 months of hotel booking you should not have a problem obtaining your desired visa, not only through Mr Keo but also through dozens of other travel agents in PP.

To whoever posted that Mr Keo would not be doing tourist visas anymore...that's just plain bullshit as I've just proven you wrong.

Leftfield, Thanks, this is very good news!

  9. Received an e-mail from my brother in the US. He's trying to save lots of money on a part and is asking me if I can get it here. Anyone know if I could get the part he mentions below in Chiang Mai?

2005 Jetta wagon TDI 1.9 liter BEW engine (Borg Warner turbo KP39) I need the actuater. I can only buy the turbo at $1000.00 to get the actuator which is a 50 dollar part. it's the part with the black electrical connection. Kinda looks like a can.

  10. I am in this moment in Kuala Lumpur and applied today for a Tourist Visa.

I was told I can pick it up tomorrow. Hopefully no negative surprises.

Flight from Phuket to KL and back ca. 6000 baht and much more healthy than a bus ride.

For me since years KL Thai Embassy works best, it's reliable, effective and fast.

Did you apply for a single or double entry? Was it free, and Can you recommend a hotel in KL?

  11. I do belive it's 3 strikes and your out You could fly out and get a double entry tourist visa if you want to stay longer than the 14 days you will get at Mai Sai

Wrong info mate. You shouldn't tell people unless you know for sure. There is no limit on the amount like lopburi says.

No set limit...OK thanks for the replies
