  1. Which popular agent are you using?
  2. I understand, therefore the comment on the "right" price. If I can sit back and enjoy a cup of coffee while an agent sorts out the paperwork and stands in line, it might be worth it 🙂
  3. This is very interesting as I will be making the move soon and had decided, after going back and forth in my mind, to use an agent and avoid having the 800k in the bank. If this option is no longer available, I might still use an agent, but the price would have to be right. Otherwise I would do the work myself.
  4. Haven't used one since I was a teenager, but I remember they were not a good fit for me. I like a close shave.
  5. Thanks, will check that out once I'm there 🙂
  6. Is that the brand name?
  7. Any suggestions? What are you using yourself?
  8. Yes, and their whole entourage
  9. Thank you for your reply... I might be forced to stick to it then 😏
  10. Are there any good alternatives to Gillette available in Thailand? Been using Fusion for ages, but moving to Thailand soon and want to avoid murican products as much as possible from now on.
  11. Wondering whether it's better for me to open an account with IBKR now while I still live in Denmark, or wait a few months until I move to Thailand? I'm currently using Saxo and they require me to completely close my danish account and open a new one after I have relocated.
  12. Thank you, that is helpful advice. It sounds like going with a broker is the best path and should not increase the price, but rather help to ensure I get a better deal. Any suggestions for a good broker in the Pattaya/Jomtien area? edit: found a few from searching on this forum: https://www.aainsure.net/index.html?utm_content=PattayaPS&utm_campaign=PattayaPS&utm_source=PattayaPS https://www.pacificprime.co.th/ https://macallanbroker.com/personal-accident-and-health-insurance/
  13. I'm wondering what the impact of using an agent is on the price and quality of an insurance? So far, Pacific Cross seems to be the company I like best (from reading on this forum and other places). Any recommendations for an agent? I will be retiring in the Jomtien area in 3 months time. Thanks, Jon
  14. This is the route that I am planning for in my retirement next year
  15. So, you live in Thailand and got rejected when applying? I've read a few comments online that sound similar to that.
  16. Thanks, they were already on my radar 🙂
  17. What are you guys using for investing, stocks, bonds etc.? Also, offshore savings accounts with high interest rates?
  18. Great, now we can finally get rid of Greenland...🤣
  19. Mod can close this topic now, I have gotten exactly the information i needed, thank you all
  20. Thanks, I might be tempted to use an agent for the initial setup at least. I do have enough money to cover if necessary at any time.
  21. Thanks. My concern is what "timendres" mentions and I've read online before, i.e. being stuck with a certain agent which might cause trouble if I e.g. want to move to another part of the country edit: you already answered my concerns while I was typing
