  1. Every time they do it(in the land of aliens), they pray their god and ask for forgiveness. That is part of their religious rituals.
  2. Drunk. Hit & Run. And he successfully landed in Hotel Bang Kwang(AKA Bkk Hilton)...
  3. Just like: The World is Flat. Pig flies. And the Nuke is Safe...
  4. How can they worry about losing something that didn't exist in the first place, LOL.
  5. Was it (very) touristy place? If so, makes a perfect sense. Often common perception of the 1st world tourists among Thai people(especially those in touristy business): They are wealthy and hang the price while their holidays. So such people display quite high price(targetting Farang temporary visitors). The same happening in some part of Chiang Mai(limited area of high concentration of short term visitors). The level of food otherwise sold at 40B or so, often priced at 80-90. Or even more. Such establishments are usually for the foreign travelers who will stay here only for a short while. While locals and street-wise expats often avoid these overpriced shops. Nearly 20 years ago, I have drunk a glass of orange juice priced at B240(in Bkk's Khao San Rd area). Fortunately, it was on my friend a lot wealthier(earning $5000/month) than me...
  6. Certainly the Very Last Thing they ever admit. Even if Money is the Best Meaning of Communication to some cops here...
  7. Still something in common. Could well be one of the Fake Refugees. Their traffickers advise their clients to throw away their passports overboard while they are in open sea; to make it impossible for foreign govts to pinpoint their origin after their arrival.
  8. As the former high-ranking East German Communist Party member, it might have been her Retaliation Against the West(which brought her home country down in Oct.1990). If so, it makes a perfect sense; she very successfully sabotaged her former enemy from within. Because of the policy she implemented, the NATO's core member states are now suffering; their overall sovereignty has been rapidly and dramatically eroded. From her perspective, Mission Accomplished... merker, from east germany - Google Search
  9. 2 of the Digital Natives demonstrated significant Lack of Forsight. Prospective Buyers of their merchandise were not to only ones watching their SNS...
  10. Good afternoon. Today's lunch: Soya Ginger Chicken Onion Bowl(rice underneath).
  11. As a Chiang Mai resident, great to know the happy ending of this case. The stolen returned to its owner. And the perpetrator was brought to justice. So the victim will not come to hate here.
  12. First, I felt more or less sympathetic(as the Victim of Circumstances)with the snatcher reading this: he began working at a restaurant in the area. However, the restaurant was affected by the heavy flood last year, causing both him and the restaurant owner to encounter financial difficulties. Wongtawan said his employer could not pay his salary, forcing him to borrow money from local loan sharks. He was unable to earn enough to pay off debt and to cover the daily expenses, so he committed the snatch. --------------------------------------------------------------------- It was quickly gone after reading the below: Wongtawan had been arrested seven times before for the thefts of valuables and motorcycles in various areas across Chiang Mai. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Just a Low Life Career Criminal. Not worth any sympathy.
  13. They already started to take over UK media, with plenty of moral and physical help by both of the Conscious and Unconscious Enemies Within...
  14. Poison to Poison. Sometimes, that's the fastest and most effective cure... Only if the people got the stomach to ignore what some Noisy Minorites bark...
  15. Today's Another ASEAN news headline. Thailand Poised to Implement Carbon Tax to Curb Emissions 2 contradictory aims cannot be attained at the same time. The More outside people come in, more resources(electricity, fuel, and water) will be consumed...
  16. Quita an Irony. Supposedly Environmentally Friendly method(making fuel from primary industry wastes). Now adding more smoke to the sky...
  17. All the Hell Breaks Loose here, too? E.G. Absurd level of energy price hike(as happened in Europe). Ordinary people now have to struggle for sufficient heating during the winter. Or just another example of Thai phenomenon; talking, but not happening(doing)? I personally prefer the Latter.
  18. Those bastar*s, seem like Arabs(from the 3rd photos). Often demonstrating explicit arrogance toward the ”Lesser People” from their perspective, while they behave opposite to the wealthier/more powerful. I, Personally witnessed such a scene in 1998, during my first trip to Thailand. It happened while on the large shared bus, from Phuket to Sura Thani(unsure if they still operate though). 3 men from Qatar, Oman, and Bahrain (from the driver's passenger manifest I glanced). There were then only 4 passengers(3 Arabs and myself), so unmistakable. Despite clear on-board sign of No Smoking, all of them immediately lit their tobaccos when the bus started. As well as ignoring driver's words to stop it. Instead of extinguishing their cigarettes, they returned snear. Then the driver opened up the bus door close to them while the bus in motion at 80km/hour. I now recall, they better behave themselves while here, before they meet some painful lesson. When Thais really crack, they sometimes don't hesitate to resort to some drastic measure. One slice of Thai society quite a few expats know about if they are here long enough. Study destination, it is the one essential preparation while planning any travel abroad. Travelers' ignorance, might sometimes costs dearly...
  19. Hi, thank you for sharing your experience here. It was not very nice is it? Qatar is known for its richness. But not enough toilet at their capital airport? I felt they better invest more to the essential facility like lavatory. As the airport in the capital is just like any countries' face.
  20. Hi, I didn't really intend to post a harsh criticism. Your dream is a kind of common fantasy almost everyone else had At Least Once thought about as well...
  21. There is one thing I have noticed about human history. Negative phenomenon like ”Threat" and "Shortage" have actually promoted mankind's evolution; urged them building a system to counter and overcome such obstacles. Developing weapons for easier hunting and defense of their own(against the enemy within without). Learning agriculture to secure food supply year around(store the harvest for cold winter) . Forming a country/nation to boost their capability as the collective. Inventing a currency for easier exchange of goods and services. These essential needs have also modernized and updated. And we can never forge/get off) these things whatever time passes. If there is an unrealistically Easy Life, there has to be someone/something that makes it possible. And it just doesn't pop out of nothing. So we cannot live like the first man and woman in Genesis. And even Adam and were eventually kicked out of their "Heaven" . After their bleach of contract with their supporter. If the world would not support just 2 of them for free, how can we expect billions(current world's population) more to be fed for free?
  22. Not really a scarcity of toilets. But the scarcity of proper discipline and manner oriented education instead.
  23. Too few lavatories in Thai airports? So foreign tourists are Forced to Pee in the wrong places? I have reasonably well travelled by air. However, I have never felt any shortage of toilets at any airports. Have never seen any Heavily Qued Up W.C. either. How many W.C. they got, the bad mannered often does it.
