You could've warned me guys !

I first thought it was for cleaning the floor, like a hose pipe or something. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bum gun can certainly be used like that as well. When I clean my toilet/bathroom, it is really handy. Its powerful water jet is quite useful to wash away any dusts and other unwanted stuff off the wall and floor. As well as cleaning inside the toilet bowl. Hope you soon become used to it and like it. -
Thai woman defends drunk foreign boyfriend in Pattaya crash
black tabby12345 replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
What he committed isn't merely a minor offence(speeeind, or drink driving without further incidents). Seriously injured an innocent Thai national as the result of drink/reckless driving. He might be more than willing to make an out-court settlement(giving enough money to the victim) to evade charges against him and resulting expulsion from here. since even murder case can be dealt with that way in this kingdom(what I heard over a decade ago). -
Trump's BS. Might be useful sometimes (for Ukraine). If the president of the USA suggests any possible military move that impacts world's power balance, it is enough to worry Poo-tin(already full of paranoids). As he might feel he could soon face Another Front while own inept forces well overstretched invading the neighbor.

She even attempted to attack police officers and rescuers... ----------------------------------------------------------- Futile Last Ditch Effort by the <deleted>. Active defender of the Drink Driver nearly killed an innocent man for own recklessness? Simply because that foreign man is her Money Vine. If that man goes behind bars & kicked out of this kingdom, she is going to have to find a new Walking ATM. Looks as simple as that. -
Oz $ losing so much value to the Baht
black tabby12345 replied to scorecard's topic in Australia & Oceania Topics and Events
I have heard of some anti-N.G Move from the private sector many years ago(well before some political move to against it) for their defense. Banks started to demand repayment of 96% the existing debt before granting a fresh loan to the same borrower. So someone I knew had to sell away most of the houses he used to own(except for the one he lives in). As a phenomenon, what has been happening in Australia since 1987(that's when the Negative Gearing approved), is exactly the same as what happened in Japan in mid 1980s-early 1990s(their housing bubble bursted around in 1992. And they introduced infamous Zero Interest policy from their financial crisis. Too much Bad Loans). Since then, their house price generally started to tumble dramatically, also because of their rapidly aging and shrinking population(more property for fewer buyers). Today, quite a few house owners are expressing their willingness to technically Give Away(or selling their property at extremely low prices like $1000 to $30000-). Some revolutionary new technologies/concept of Small House for the single people, such as 3-D printer made cottage and the container house are also contributing to bring down their overall house price in the market. -

Bankruptcy by design. The more debt they(often property speculators) create for own gain on purpose, lesser income tax they need to pay. That system is called Negative Gearing that started sometime in 1980s. It ridicules honest workers and traditional savers. And most of Australia's big business (including resource sectors) has been owned by Multinational Mega Corps for decades. So as the government's policy makers. And socially, the Multi-Culturalism has been used to divide up the society. Nobody takes the above problems as their own country's. Still, its geographic isolation and stringent immigration policy preventing it from ending up as today's Europe(mass influx of False Refugees and soaring crimes committed by them) though. -

Phuket's Transformation: Becoming Thailand's Premium Tourist Hub
black tabby12345 replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Transformation of Phuket? Pearl of the Andaman Sea certainly turning into Thailand's capitol of Foreign Riffraffs as most ASEAN forum readers know. -
Fortunately, no people-related troubles around me. But I have met countless attempted dog attacks since my settlement here in late 2005. I first carried around firecrackers and lighter to scare them away. Then I switched to homemade high-capacity tear gas spray(with the range of 7 yards). When they show clear sign of aggression(deep wrinkles on their nose and bare teeth), I shoot them with that. And they dash away instantly; it works 100% all the time. They cannot stand for the cocktail of vinegar, chili, and pepper: Dogs' 3 worst hates. Eventually, such dogs started to avoid me; I haven't used it since 2023. Even though I still carry it around with me when I go outside. It is also useful to help someone else out under dog attacks.

Previously, hand drawn map, now changed to google maps, but you must make sure the latitude / longitude is displayed... In Phuket, they want the GPS-indicated proof of your address for non-o Retirement extension? During previous military regime rule, they demanded the position coordinate of the expat for 90 day report(eventually dropped though) in Chiang Mai.

Brit expats in Thailand warned of scams targeting bank accounts
black tabby12345 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Some scammers ring my number only to find out if that number really exists. That is one common method those crooks use. After confirming it is in service, then attempts to set a trap. But i use old-type phone(not smart phone). So absolutely no chance for them to snare me. A smart phone is one major access point of those cyber criminals.
