Russian man faces Phuket charges for mafia-like intimidation
black tabby12345 replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
And they have no concern for the criminal record(even conscripting those behind the bars) either. Will be trusted with million dollar equipment. From the Persona Non Grata (unwanted alien) in Thailand to the Wanted Cannon Fodder in warzone. What a stride he can make overnight. -

Bank of Thailand Aims for 1-3% Inflation to Boost Economy
black tabby12345 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Pretty unclear; what are they really trying to do, after all? If they want to lower the inflation rate, they better raise the interest rate; done to reduce the economic activities. If they want to help boost the economy, they better lower the interest rate; make it easier to borrow money. Higher interest rate=Raise the borrowing cost ->lesser available fund in market Lower interest rate=Reduce the borrowing cost ->more available fund in market Are those Big Shots in the central bank in the state of Drug High? -

Thailand Eases Path to Citizenship for Long-Term Settlers
black tabby12345 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Those migrant workers from the poorer adjoining countries. They have been making huge contribution to Thai economy for decades. They often take up kind of jobs(e.g. farm hands, construction workers, fishing boat crew) modern Thais often hate to do. Therefore they(and their children) certainly deserve better. Fortunately, they are culturally and religiously(often Buddhists) close to Thais. Thailand can make up for their gradually shrinking working population. And the migrant workers' children can grow up as the new Thais. Win-Win decision of the century. Cheers. -
Thailand's workforce will gradually shrink in the next 20-30 years; due to their declining birthrate and aging population. Thailand declining birthrate statistics - Google Search So a kind of smart move to socially integrate migrant workers from the neighboring nations. They are culturally, religiously (often Buddhists) close to the people of this kingdom. So won't be like those newly arrived 'refugees' from Africa and Middle East in Europe(often refuse to integrate into the society of their destination country).

Good Samaritans. Often look like vigilante(private crime busters) in Thailand. I remember another case where a small group of bike taxi riders made a citizen's arrest of the gold thief. Fake Line Man caught in gold 'heist' situation by sharp-eyed bikers | Thaiger Even a hard action involving case as below: Salute to the bravery among common Thais. -
Thailand to build own trains, expand rail network to 7,500 km
black tabby12345 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
How can they build another 2655Km of railway? While their State Rail has already been struggling to maintain their existing line of 4845Km for ages. Sounds so unreal. -

Bangkok market stabbing over 500 baht debt leaves one dead

The uneducated poor often lacks the sense of priority. Looks like common skid row psychology worldwide. Being poor makes them dumb. -
Kong and Bom told police that they were threatened by an unidentified person who said that he would beat them up in the same manner they had attacked the homeless man. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Looks like some enforcer of Street Justice in Isaan town. I would rather these punks ended up beaten up, half-killed instead as they were told. Thai juvenile laws are said to be as soft as the West.; hardly no real punishment just because they are minors.

officers had tortured him into confessing to the crime, --------------------------------------------------------------------- That's what those Bas*ards really deserve. Attacking the helpless innocent. And then met the similar fate. Just a matter of consequence to the act of evil A Good Punisher Cop in Real Life. Swedish Men Arrested in Pattaya on Fraud and Overstay Charges
black tabby12345 replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
In such a case(oversaty + criminal offence), do these ones face only deportation? Or they are also likely to do their time in jail here before extradition? Is it up to with or without Thai victims? Any Thai Law experts, please comment. -
Swedish Men Arrested in Pattaya on Fraud and Overstay Charges

call centre fraud... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Looks like increasing becoming common criminal livelihood on global scale. Both in the East and West. Some examples of common methods: 1-Asking for crediting money into the account(obtained in black market; e.g. bought from the homeless), pretending elders' close family members(sons, daughter). 2-Or contacting strangers saying the police froze their accounts because of the criminal involvement suspicion. And tell victims to transfer the account balance into the nominated accounts(this type often said to be happening here) to clear their names. Phrase like law enforcement, court, and criminal allegation function used to shut down people's brain. The biggest contradiction is, Money cannot be sent out If Accounts are Really Blocked. My English friend's mother is said to have encountered the case of fake son asking for money. Fortunately, she noticed it was the trap.
