Yingluck’s 6 trillion baht water project revived to address floods
MalcolmB replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
With all this climate change this will be money very well spent. Good to see the Shins back being proactive after a decade of reactive. -
Maybe you could write into management with some suggestions. Anyway with climate change the way it is going there will be a lot more flooding.

Anyone planted Ashoka tree's on their land in Thailand?
MalcolmB replied to advancebooking's topic in General Topics
The 3 meter ones will be pot bound to a certain extent. Better off with smaller. They like being fed, if you don’t feed them or have good soil they will be weak and stringy. Easier to look after than the Korean tree which need more maintenance to keep looking neat. -

Put in the smaller ones, they will grow stronger and not bend. They will grow over a meter per year anyway. They can also be cut at the top to make them a uniform height which looks good. Plant 80 cm from the boundary, as they get older they will fill out a bit. So you need to give them this space. Only downside is they will stop the breeze. Good luck. The are known as Indian Asoke in Thailand. -
Thailand’s Casino Complex: 90% of Patrons Expected to be Locals
MalcolmB replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Yes, terrible case of dual pricing. The Thais spend more than that now on average for traveling and accommodation to travel to the border casinos. Thousands of them every day. They can lose their money in Thailand now instead, and the border casinos will mostly go broke without Somchai and Noi playing Baccarat. Smart move by the government. Keep the poor Thais out with the entry fee.- 102 replies

You would do as you were told. It is not a tourist area, it is a factory area with 10s of thousands of younger workers.if they can save a few people from becoming addicted to amphetamines then they are doing something good. Nobody cares about your “rights” whatever you might think they are. it is not hard to piss in a cup. Let me guess, you were also an anti masker during the pandemic?

Green Day predicted this years back. idiot nation controlled by the media.

Yes, they won that one, gained territory. The Thais have fought when necessary, lied when necessary and aligned with various countries at various times when it has suited them. A bit like their politics today. As a small nation they have a lot to be proud of. beautiful women also.

It is a shame that Americans aren’t smart enough to understand policies. This election seems to be all attacking one another. Only policies I hear being discussed are abortion and trans, neither are about the economy. All slogans and mud slinging. The dumber you are the more popular it seems in the Land of the American Idiot.
