What's your no 1 issue with the world?
BakedPanda replied to susanlea's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I can't really think of anything, I don't have issues with the world. Just many zombie people nowadays and governments that suck. -
Being surprised if things actually go as they were planned or should be going, as they usually mess things up. No matter a grab ride, airplanes flying in time, visa procedures etc. I essentially always expect a fk up to happen, to then have a rare good day if it doesn't happen.

1) Why? 2) Never have that unless it is a national park, where I never go anyway. 3) Nonsense.

Expats angry at huge concessions in latest Thai visa announcements

No they don't, they just fixed that, by making the visa easier. The exchange rates are fine too. Matter of time before you will see better results again in Thailand. I personally predict a crazy high season. -
Expats angry at huge concessions in latest Thai visa announcements

Sounds like a bunch of whining oldies who made poor choices, and if not a poor choice, not seem to understand that a yearly visa with multi-entry, is still way more hassle free and comfortable, than doing 60 days on arrival. I see like zero arguments here at all. Own up your responsibility, nobody else will. Anyone with a bit sense in their brains would not recently have purchased an Elite visa or send 800K to Thailand, which would be taxed too in theory, assuming a 180+ day stay. Those who did: own it up or shut up. It's so cliche, these old guys who rarely contribute and live under a stone, have a lot of hate for younger succesful people. Same for those who now get an easier visa on arrival, which still isn't that great, it's just 15 days more than it was during covid. Last but not least, a marriage or retiree visa is kind of stable since decades, even 1-2 papers or rules changed. This 60 day visa, same as 45 days during covid, or the old school tourist visa options, can change at any given time again. -
Irish footballer fights for his life after bike crash in Thailand

Problem is obviously with the rental shops, who not provide quality and good helmets at all or really really rarely if they do. Can't really expect a tourist to go and spend 6,000-10,000 baht on a helmet during their 1 week holiday. Same time, I guess they should, if they want to drive and be really safe. Or at least buy a 1K baht full face helmet from tesco, but these are not even available usually on the tourist areas or islands. -
If you tried above already it is likely the display inverter and usually cheaper to just buy a new one.

You must be super short sighted to not understand that you have to expect a Thai minimum wage, if reflecting on prices. But of course you could not, you likely barely know yourself, even you lived for decades.

What is this for a silly question once again, by a new member. Ever heard of google? or walking around?

I would be either sick or having a extreme hangover if doing that. Otherwise I could just be lazy doing the same hanging out on some beach or at a pool. I could do it financially if I wanted though. People doing this often are bored in life or depressed or have a bad diet or a combination of those.

Guess the prices will soon be 20 baht instead of 10 baht per ride then too, with the never ending electric rate increases as well additional purchase and maintenance costs.

So a new car and carrier after 4 decades, impressive.. Meanwhile in Vietnam they started with EV busses that have AC, WiFi and costs almost nothing, that run like clock work and arrive at each stop. Same to even go to the airport for 1-2 dollars.

Trump rushed off stage after possible assassination attempt
BakedPanda replied to DPat's topic in World News
Relevance? Zero. Most crimes are committed with illegal guns to begin with. -
Returns, interest is for people who not understand money and due to that also think nothing but a few percent is possible. but to answer, virtually anything in the past decade, gold to start with would even hVe secured 22.98% already over the past year alone. Could cash out and do nothing for 3 years at that point even. that would have paid for their house
-
Yeah lol with an average of just 7.5% annual returns that would actually already be more than many teachers earn here working fulltime. 1250 a month or 57,400 baht. Of course half of it will already be spend by the time they realize this.

Foreigner and Thai woman get into heated argument on BTS (video)
BakedPanda replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
In Thailand that is actually a criminal code too. You can file a police complaint if someone does that to you. -
