I do not agree with the assumptions above. In my opinion 'foot and mouth' is a man-made problem. I'll not call it a disease as it is plainly no such thing. It is caused by unnatural living conditions and practices in the husbandry industry. I've not seen any evidence that it is contagious. And I doubt very much that it is; or can be. As for q virus being responsible; well; that is simply speculation. I've looked, as have others, and there are no experiments to show that a virus is responsible. The science is anything bit settled. I'd be inclined to look at obvious things before talking about even more jabs for the unfortunate beasts. What are they? Medical interventions. Including medicines, hormones and vaccines. Unnatural and contaminated feed. Chemicals used to 'clean' and 'sterilise' both the living environment and the animals themselves. Nature has the answers we seek.
