  1. I thought it was any history volunteer visa that disqualifies Elite. Now education visa also?
  2. if you had a Walkman in the 1970s you were one of the first and had it about 6 months. The first product release 1979. A Managing engineer for an aerospace defense contractor I knew brought one back from Tokyo gifted from President of a Japanese trading company that imported this kind of "hardware" Below is a YouTube video demo disc it came with. I was impressed with the sound in such a small package of course there were portable battery powered tape decks already, with alot of wow/flutter and tape hiss https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7oTDHsdQlp8
  3. I have a MacMini bought used that is 12-14 years old. Using to play music
  4. Probably Vinyl then cassette then CD which don't have much prescence or range. I don't have experience lately with cassettes however and they say FLAC is better than MP3 but I have to take their word for it. My high freq hearing is 30 percent GONE and constant tinnitus I had an enthusiast in early 1990s with expensive MacIntosh tube amps and huge horn speakers in his home play me opera and classical recordings side by side. CD vs LP vinyl vs original collectors item 78rpm records played on some kind of victrola with bamboo phonograph needles. The 78's were by far the best sound blew CD away.
  5. Not my point butfidelity (Maxell XLSll, etc.) recorded off a HiFi casette deck was good not but never close to Reel to Reel. The Walkman squelched the ghetto blasters in public. Now people's personal pastimes are often rudely unavoidable or even a danger. Innocent persons are literally killed because of texting on the roads. Unbelievable but now we must have announcements on airplanes and trains to not use bluetooth speakers or watch inappropriate content on a tablet or laptop Have you ever attended a dinner in the 1970s where some of your friends spent most of the evening reading a newspaper or playing board games by themselves? It would have been unthinkable. Now it is considered acceptable behavior
  6. Everything in consumer techology since the original Sony cassette tape walkman has been an overall negative
  7. Are they selling cannabis with PCP added?
  8. 22? How old are you? A Thai man same age/economic power difference would be giving, or not ?
  9. My AC guy is usually recommending either Mitsubishi or Daikin.
  10. I never purchased travel insurance as I am already covered except during Covid, when it was required I read the policy very carefully. SafetyWing. It covers almost nothing
  11. The bloke had not done his research and thus caused problem for himself, a delay Passport, and the boarding card that has been strictly required for years Not too hard to print out ones TDAC prior to boarding Kudos for being prepared mlkik.
  12. Stop and find a restroom. No shortage in Thailand Or just urinate on a fence, wall, or bush
  13. If that is a potentially profitable venture why no US airlines flying to BKK already?
  14. No matter how much I studied these Thai people refuse to understand my utterances
  15. Thanks. What I do is proffer my passport opened to the page that has the re- entry permit I feel like re entering with a re entry permit is the easiest way to enter Thailand, maybe because the decision has allready been made? Even when I was on Thailand Elite years ago I was grilled by a lady officer but I thought maybe she wanted to get together with me. Do you have girlfriend do you have wife what is your job do you have a house?
  16. I do not. I used to write "re entry ", not any number.
  17. I only did that once, take action. I was in the US in an apartment with gated parking spot assigned to me. I called the tow service becuse somebody parked in my spot. All I had to do was show my lease and the document clearly assigned the spot to me to me. I felt bad but, my only extra option was to park nearby on the street and I did that before because of these prats and I was fined. 60 or 80 dollars don't remember. Irvine California, No parking on streets allowed
  18. What if you have an extension of permit to Stay and a Re entry permit? My Visa expired some years ago
  19. S o perfectly legal. If somebody else parks there and leaves their car in your garden?
  20. Guessing you are over 80. Beg a friend or relative to borrow their gear, hotel business lounge , or at an internet shop or printing store? Print shop again? Emailing to hotel front desk staff usually happy to print something simple like this. My experience with Singapore is Border Force scan your passport and everything normal, no need to show or reference the code. Maybe they did not think this TDAC as well as they could have, or what is the definition of resident? 180 days? Work permit? One year extension? More and more countries rolling out these kinds of required processes get used to it or don't travel internationally my advice.
  21. Yes. And this this kind of parking is unheard in US because it blocks the "sidewalk" even if partially. The towing business is over the top yes, in the US and a money spinner for cities. My sis had her car disappeared in a matter of minutes once when she stopped into as bakery to pick up a cake. I have only ordered one car towed from my reserved parking spot. A repeat offense in an apartment leaving me no choice but to park my car illegally on the street in a city where street parking is not allowed, and I got fined before for being the nice guy.
  22. As I thought this goes beyond what I had considered. Nobody has ever thought of "lowering" a so-called KERB where I came from. They are know as curbs by the way and nearly all houses were all built with them and driveways. Maybe except rare occasions like a Hollywood bungalow where they were altered 80 plus years ago or so when cars became common and nothing could be done to stop this theft of street front parking. Why should these UK people be allowed to make illegal parkingspots in their front "garden" to avoid street parking then expect parking to be blocked in front of their house further reducing street parking available. I now ask this.
