PATHUM THANI: For required paperwork for retirement you can scan the QR code at the desk where they check your papers or ask for hard copy (saves some printing). Requirements for retirement, 800K or combi or income, are mentioned on that and you get all the other forms to be filled in also attached. Easy and you don't forget anything. This year new (for me) was Google Map where you live and some picture in front and inside the house. The info board says 15 minutes for retirement, but I think they mean they need 15 min to work on your extension. Waiting time for other are not included. Each year I'm in and out in 45 minutes, no questions asked. Also new was the pager they hand out to call you in when they are ready. Last few years included the AC waiting room so progress is made.

The hard copy version they hand out, September 2025, no.9 has been slightly changed: "Photos of the foreigner at the current residence (within 1 month); 2 front of house photo's (1 wide angle of the whole house and 1 showing the house number), and 2 indoor photo's.

New for me so just for information. I have scheduled transfers from Wise (3000 EUR) to BKK bank account on 27th each month. Normally money would be sent around 07:30 and be in my BKK bank account around 14:00 same day. Today was instant. Arrived 07:30 in my BKK bank account. BKK bank code changed from Internation Funds Transfer to DEP TRF FR E-CH. (Deposit Transfer From Electronic-Channel)

05 Aug 2025: "The Revenue Department is expediting the introduction of legislation to exempt Thais from income tax on foreign-sourced earnings within this year. According to Pinsai Suraswadi, director-general of the department, the new law exempts income tax for Thai individuals who bring foreign-sourced income into Thailand within two years from when the income was earned. The details are still being discussed within the Finance Ministry. Once the law is promulgated this year, it may be applied retroactively, he said."

May 19, 2025 This is nice ... "Under the new guidelines, Thais with foreign income will not be taxed if they remit that income in the year it was earned or the following year. For example, if income is earned in 2025 and brought into Thailand in 2025 or 2026, it is not subject to tax."

Did you have a good look at the size of the KFZ burger or any other products? The price is same, but you get less.

They used to have this in Pathum Thani. They changed. No need to report any more for the 800k and 400k. Now you get following paper attached to your passport next to RETIREMENT extension: "The alien must have the remaining balance in the bank account of no less than 800.000 baht until Date: STAMPED DATE HERE. Then, an alien can withdraw the deposit and must have the remaining balance of no less than 400.000 baht." Followed by same text in Thai. This means only once a year go to immigration office for the yearly extension.
