So, I don't know how that works, but I've been to one of their events at a 5 star hotel in Phuket and was introduce to some high level govt employees at that time.

Yes, I've checked into that with the US Embassy here in Tokyo for the paper work. Thank you. She also has to do the same. I understand that the US Embassy in Bangkok may require a police background check up on her. She does work for the Thai govt so maybe not something to worry about.

Sadly she has to take care of her parents in Thailand so she is NOT FREE to travel.

My plan is to live in Thailand but due to health insurance of the country I live in which is very affordable, I can't really leave the PR and give it up and make Thailand my home. Would it be best just to have the marriage registered in Thailand and the country I am in. 3. Can I just go back and stay for 3 months in Thailand and then return to the country I reside in?
