Go to your local fresh market at 4 a.m. and they should have pork intestines. You'll then need to spend a few hours washing them out (unless you like your sausages to be redolent of the farm).

I presume that Immigration still hasn't fixed their computer systems, so the first 90 day report after reentering the Kingdom can't be done online. Does anyone have recent experience of making such a report by post to Chaengwattana? And if so, was it successful or unsuccessful? (I really don't want to have to waste several hours making the report in person.) Thanks.

What, not even GI Joe? He has "eagle eyes" to show his US patriotism the eagle having been the national bird of the United States since 1782. I suspect GI Joe is more of an American hero than the Donald Trump bobble head doll. And Trump's doll is so inaccurate it doesn't actually have his bone spurs.

The reason that fentanyl is coming across any border is because there is a demand for it. I don't know the reason, but America seems to have a disproportionately large number of drug addicts. That's neither the fault of Canada nor Mexico. Clearly something is seriously wrong with the way that the USA deals with its drug problem. However, it's easier to blame Canada than to sort things out.

Apparently, according to the Bangkok Post, there's a change coming. The article's a bit unclear, but I think it means that all overseas income transferred to Thailand must be declared in one's tax return. However, if it's transferred in the same year it's obtained or the following year, it will not be taxed. The article repeatedly refers to "Thais", but it almost certainly includes all tax residents. https://www.bangkokpost.com/business/general/3028760/department-to-amend-tax-on-foreign-income-remittance

It's not only "not the precise variety", it's a totally different species. As for "whatever shall I do", I'd suggest stop posting clueless posts that suggest phak kom is spinach. It's not.

And yet again, this is NOT spinach. The label clearly says (in Thai) Phak kom. 👎👎👎

When exactly is state pension frozen?
Zaphod Priest replied to Zaphod Priest's topic in UK & Europe Topics and Events
Still no real clarity. Government web page titled "Delay (defer) your State Pension" gives an example and states: "This example assumes there is no annual increase in the State Pension. If there is an annual increase, the amount you could get could be larger." The use of the word "could" makes this information useless. https://www.gov.uk/deferring-state-pension/what-you-get -
Report MRT Music Mayhem: Foreign Influencer Blasted by Fed-Up Commuters

So yes, music is banned under Sharia law, and most certainly is banned in Iran. -

Music is banned under Shariah law. Stone him to death, throw him from a high building, hang him, decapitated him. Preferably all four. -
Theoretically yes since the Double Tax Agreement between the UK and Thailand does not cover the state pension. (It only covers the pensions of government workers.) In practice, however, I don't believe anyone has ever been taxed on it in Thailand. Things may change if the Thai government moves to taxing world wide income, as has been proposed.

Muslim- and African-type names. Just the same sort of mix as has been seen at the top of the Tory party over the past few years. Political ambition isn't limited to white British types.

Just for clarification, the Oxford Union is not a student union (that's the Oxford Student Union). The Oxford Union is a club primarily for the poshest current and former students in the University and those with political ambitions. Its stances are in no way typical of the general student population.

No need for the insults. What you bought is phak khom. I didn't mention morning glory, which is phak bung. True spinach Spinacia oleracea in Thai is puai leng. I'm really surprised that after being in Thailand for 20 years you haven't learnt the names of the different vegetables. Do you even read Thai?
-
Again, not spinach. It clearly states phak khom on the bag ... twice.

If you look at the TOPS website, in English you have a listing for "spinach": https://www.tops.co.th/en/my-choice-spinach-special-200g-0000030066014 If you switch the language to Thai it clearly states it's phak khom. https://www.tops.co.th/th/my-choice-spinach-special-200g-0000030066014 Not spinach.
-
No way is it spinach - not at that price. As posted on a previous topic "95% of Thai people incorrectly call ผักโขม spinach". For a fuller discussion of spinach in Thailand see

No you haven't. What you've found is phak kom - a name used for various Amaranthus species. Spinach is Spinacia oleracea.

For someone already living in Thailand, is the state pension frozen on the date to which they become entitled to it, or is it when they first claim it? In other words, could one get a higher pension by delaying claiming it until the new tax year with the new pension rate?
