Most cops don't go near the open roads unless near borders. You can drive from CM to Khon Kaen and not see one. I did it. Not one cop. The cops set up check points near borders for the Burmese or others. They don't care about farangs. They set up check points in Phuket to catch dumb tourists without helmets. They don't care about cars.
