To be fair, backpackers have a good time with both tourists and locals. I did. Met some people were were/are very nice with me. For people like me who want to have a good life full of good experiences, they way to do that is to create them. That cannot work if no one trusts each other. That's part of the backpacking experience. To develop those life skills. Those who didn't do it, wouldn't know.

Allow me to offer you these definitions. Reality: Things that actually happened. I met girls who trusted me and we formed amazing relationships. Your imagination/assumptions: Things that you read about that happened to other people and subsequently have affected the way that you think. "Trust no one" The rest of your post seems just more of your rampantly negative mind process. From here it appears that it is you who is assuming, whereas I live my life with those trusting girls. It's why some of us can strike up new relationships at any time, whereas other are locked into not trusting anyone and terribly lonely. It's clear in which world you are in, simply from your action of doubting me. You will convince yourself that you are right, in order to stay in your safe "trust no one" mode.

I know real life. I lived it and am living it. I was that nineteen year old boy who met loads of trusting girls. They had a great time and lots of wonderful memories and we are still friends. Whereas you are just posting from fear of things that you have read about and are assuming. Any girls associated with your way of thinking would have a lonely and boring life. How sad.

Nonsense. You are an old man who likely didn't go through that rite of passage.. Backpackers trust each other in the main and through that they make friends for life and have amazing experiences. It doesn't sound as if you had anything like that in your life and hence, your outlook that comes from your bad imagination. Yes, there are risks. But that's life. Be careful but don't be a stick in the mud who makes no real friends because they don't trust anyone. That's just silly. I made hundreds of friends whilst backpacking because we decided to trust each other. That's something you old guys who didn't ever do it, won't understand. If you could see my Contacts list, you might understand. When you trust, you find a whole other world.

If you trust no one, how can you enjoy and appreciate life? @frank83628 makes a sensible point. You should take note. My best experiences and theirs, are created by people who decided to trust each other.

The interesting commenters are still around. You just don't get to see their content. It's all dumbed down or censored by people with their own agenda. You are either with us or against us kind of agenda. It all mostly FAKE these days. Every conversation in a political sense is shaped to be extreme and abusive. All you see is abuse from one side left unchecked, wherein reasonable voices are removed and accused of Trolling. So there is no real discussion at all. Only what looks like extreme division. It makes it seem that there is no one in the middle. Ask a normal question and the Trolls come out to play. Someone asked about a cheap car rental they spotted and 90% of the replies were mocking and negative towards the OP and anyone who actually tried to help. For me, it's supposed to be a community where we help each other and celebrate what makes us similar and what makes us different.. This board amplifies the opposite of that.

Please demonstrate when and where this happened? 1948? This is the kind of mistruth that is spread to make it appear that the Palestinian people are unreasonable. Please demonstrate the timeline and dates in so your statements can be checked. Or they should be removed as false/unverified statements.

The other side don't accept a Palestinian state either and in addition want to control all of the land. Why make it sound that the Palestinian side is unreasonable, when in fact they are perhaps just wanting the same things?

I haven't had any experience like that in Pattaya, with a motorcycle nor car. Why have so many people come to this thread who have no real information at all, but really only to provide misinformation and to argue? It's horrible. Look at the posts in this thread. That is the experience given to someone who asks a simple question on this forum.

How would you miss a flight? I don't think that you would be allowed to just leave the car at any airport.

If you had read the whole post you might have noted that I suggested that it might have been the same company that also rented the cars. Do you think that I didn't notice the difference between an airport taxi and car rental? In the event, I'm not sure that it was the same company anyway,
