  1. What does backpackers going to tourist ghettoes have to do with anything? Does that mean that the local people you meet along the way are somehow less valid? You remind me of those foreigners who would proudly announce that they "lived in Thailand". 😊 But yet, here you are posting nonsense most of the time. Where are your friends?
  2. Really? I see it advertised from as little 4 baht per gram.
  3. As a former backpacker, I have a completely different perspective. Without meaning to be disrespectful, quite a different experience to someone who married someone who came from a small village. They are probably used to communal living and sharing resources. So someone helping themselves to your cigarettes and sharing them out was probably elevating your status in the village. As one of them. Though to the uninitiated, the action might appear disrespectful. Thais are brothers, sisters, aunties, uncles... If you view yourself as an island, you are going to struggle. Treat everyone as if they are you. Be nice. Be kind, Be generous. Be lovely. Just don't be stupid. 😊 Don't bring your western ideals and assume that you are superior. When in Rome...
  4. Keyboard warrior? That's your perception. A bit aggressive, don't you think? I make observations. It seems to me that someone who posts hate every day, is going to struggle to find normal balanced friends. Do you disagree?
  5. No. Good people make friends anywhere. Pattaya is no different. If you cannot make friends, then the problem is you.
  6. As I wrote before....mental imbalance. Perfect example on this thread. Their latest thing is 'negativity'.
  7. Many of the regular posters here are either fake or suffering from some kind of mental imbalance. You don't ever see any kind of balance in their behaviour. It's almost always one sided. Like, for instance, a unnatural hatred of foreigners. So most of their posts will be along those lines. You will hardly see a post from them where they are actually showing kindness to others. No balance, just hatred, baiting, argumentative... how could someone like that have any real friends? That kind of attitude is too draining in real life. They don't have real friends, full stop. Let alone Thai men. Money is usually their pull.
  8. Ironic that one of the most unpleasant people on this forum is complaining about foreigners being argumentative. You literally couldn't make up some of the madness we see on this forum every day. I doubt he has any friends at all for whom he doesn't pay.
  9. I met a girl from Billingham 😊 Personally, I would not be so harsh when commenting. It's easy to sit in an ivory tower and criticise, but when you come from poverty, money can turn some people's heads. People need to look at themselves and ask themselves why they are ranting away with such hate, at something they have merely read. It's that tendency to want to feel that you are somehow better than them. Never mind the old men coercing young local women here to do sexual favours for money. That doesn't count. What counts is that they adjudge this young woman as somehow below them. When the glaring reality is that they are one and the same. Imperfect humans.
  10. Still indicated on their website. https://corporate.bigc.co.th/topup?lang=en#detail เติมเงินมือถือ AIS One-2-Call! Cash Card ราคา 20,50,100,300,500 บาท
  11. As usual, this forum is full of sad old men who view women as some kind of alien species that can only be bought. Not understanding that there is good reason why they are paying for their company. Look in the mirror baby. I'm not referring to superficial looks.
  12. In a game of hypothetical questions, Lord Beaverbrook asked the American woman: “Would you live with a stranger if he paid you £1,000,000?” She answered “Yes.” “And if he paid you £5?” The irate lady fumed: “£5? What do you think I am?” Beaverbrook replied: “We’ve already established that. Now we’re trying to determine the degree.”
  13. TAGTHAi Easy Pay, not ThaiPay. 🤦‍♂️ https://www.tatnews.org/2025/03/tourist-e-wallet-tagthai-easy-pay-now-available-for-international-visitors/ Looks like nothing special... You have to exchange your currency at a Kasikorn booth which is then loaded on to a card, which is linked to the application. So you already lose out by exchanging your currency at a relatively poor rate. For example 31.26919 vs 32.43. That's an up to 3.6% forex charge to potential customers from the USA. Though if you exchange US$100 bills you can get a better exchange rate, dropping the cost to around 1.34%. For Europeans, it looks to be around a 2% exchange rate fee.
  14. US$249?! That has got to be a form of money laundering...
  15. I actually thought that it was J D Vance being depicted insisting that everyone should change their core values so that he could fit in..... It seems that person posting the pic didn't note the resemblance before hitting Submit Reply..
  16. I actually thought it was a parody. But it's real 😮 Literally a snake oil salesman as the POTUS. Cheapens the whole institution.
  17. A couple of options that come to mind, dependent on your finances, are to find whatever you want from whoever has it in stock and then arrange to have it delivered by courier. No reason why you couldn't receive it tomorrow at the latest. The other option, is to try OfficeMate. Yes, really 😊
  18. My advice would be to get out of Bangkok if you don't want to be loaded up with extras.
  19. He did not attempt to fight anyone, no matter how many times he was hit, by woman and man. Absolutely ridiculous to suggest that he deserved it. Some very sick puppies on here. Spending almost their whole time baiting others.
  20. Swede wasn't violent and certain members are just baiting others here for a response.
  21. The usual rubbish from the usual suspects. The crazy woman is clearly the aggressor on every level. He did not 'floor' her, he simply shook off her attack and she fell. He was obviously running away from her and tried to get on to his motorcycle to get away. Some mentally ill people here trying to twist it into it somehow being the foreigner's fault. Indeed it is his fault for getting mixed up with a woman who obviously has some issues. But violent he was not.
  22. Once again, the worst of humanity showing their faces here 🤢
  23. No..what he is saying is that the conflict between Cambodia and Thailand is about the plan to open a casino complex. That is likely the betrayal mentioned by Hun Sen, as that would seriously affect Cambodia's bottom line. Bhumjaithai has come out against it, for reasons I couldn't possibly suggest. Thaksin is attacking cannabis in retaliation. Look at it from that aspect to get a basic understanding out what is happening.
