The problem is not just tariffs. It's IP, and the trade deficit. Thailand is taking the $30+ billion they get from the US and they send that money straight to China. Thailand has a trade surplus with the US, but a deficit with China. This is what Trump is addressing. Countries are going to need to pick a side, either China or the US. AI is going to rapidly expand the military industrial complex and the winner of the AI race potentially secures a 1000 year reign.

A lot of trinket sellers will drop prices. Corporations will as well. You don't get it, corporations import cheap products like tshirts from bangladesh for $1 and sell them for $25, the tariff is like $0.35 it's not a big deal and they'll eat the costs.

That hurts thai people even harder. They build the parts here, send them overseas and import the car at a huge markup. I hope these tariffs wake countries up and they start diversifying their economies away from manufacturing cheap garbage to export to America.
