Cebu and Davao are crowded, ugly, dirty and boring also--Just slightly less so than Manila. The only reason to go to any city in the Philippines is for the women. You will find Manila much better for meeting women than either of those two. Cebu would be the worst for that because there are quite a lot of foreigners there, so you will have a lot more competition, and the girls are a bit wiser. If you want to see the beauty of the Philippines you will need to get out of the cities.

The are buses from BKK to Hua Hin, but I personally just prefer a private car.

But unfortunately most of the trains have no AC, and are they slower than driving. Also doesn't make sense if you arrive and want to go straight from the airport to Hua Hin--the train would at least double your total travel time vs a direct car transfer.

For sure. I've had KFC in both Thailand and the US recently. The Chicken in Thailand is much better quality, and not nearly as greasy as in the US.

Exactly this. Eternal existence isn't the focus of Buddhism. It's not like Christianity that way. Buddhism teaches to live in the present moment and not desire anything more than you have at the present moment.

I don't think you will ever have a problem if you mostly use the wifi call and text function. Just don't connect to a cellular network, or do so only occasionally.

Do you have an android phone? If you do, and you have the fi app installed, if you turn off the cellular network, and connect to wifi only, you get unlimited calls and texts to the US on any plan over wifi. Wifi calls and texts don't work with Apple phones unfortunately. I've used fi for about 5 years. No problem using the wifi calls and texts nearly daily while overseas. If you use too much data overseas, they will stop your data. That happened to me a couple of times, but got reset after I returned to the US for a few weeks. Calls and text still worked even though they stopped the data.

No where in the constitution does it even mention social security. You have no constitutional right to social security. Social Security was created by congress, and congress can write a law and change social security in anyway they see fit.

It's not about impact on the budget. It's about Trump screwing everyone he hates, and he hates everyone outside the US--that includes expat US citizens. He see us as traitors for living abroad. It's only a matter of time before he ends overseas social security payments.
