Thailand Rejects 0% Tax Deal with US, Cites Risk to Local Farmers
The pollution does not bother the farmers ... not one bit, in fact, they enjoy the burning ... I think you are seeing the world through YOUR lens, not at all from the farmer perspective.

Thailand Rejects 0% Tax Deal with US, Cites Risk to Local Farmers
Are you aware of the massive farm subsidies that the USA pays its farmers, on top of all kinds of barriers to entry that prevent real competition??? About one-third of the nation's two million farms receive regular subsidies, although that ratio is higher for larger farms (READ: Corporate welfare for the largest "well connected" agricultural companies) It is hilarious that farmers in Red Hats cry about "Socialism" while they accept government handouts and farm welfare.

Thailand Bets on Medical Tourism to Revive Economy
Thailand has made goods, services, and tourism 11% + more expensive in the past year via the "strong Baht" Plus, waiting for the August 1st "deal" with the USA, which makes exports very difficult and exchange rates a problem. The solution to many, many of Thailand's problems is a Baht that is at least USD / THB 36.00.

Thailand Tourism: Falling Behind or Ready to Evolve?
Thailand is 11% + more expensive for tourism and export trade than a year ago. Gosh! Could that cause problems for the economy??

Thailand Delays Tourist Entry Fee Amid Travel Concerns
Dear Thailand, could it be ... just maybe ... that the reason you are losing your tourists to Vietnam is the EXCHANGE RATE difference? Thailand has "expensive" currency, Vietnam has "cheap" currency." Yes, it really is that simple.

Majority of Thais Doubt New Cabinet’s Ability to Cut Trump’s Tariffs
Step One: Reduce the price of exports by 10% by simply returning to last years Thai Baht Exchange rate. Step Two: Rinse and repeat until the Thai Baht is 20% "weaker" than today, and prepare for incredible export numbers, and record tourism !!!

Thai Baht's Rise in Jeopardy Amid Political Uncertainty
Thailand's main export partners are: the United States, China and Japan. They need to weaken the baht, focus on China, Japan, and the tourism better exchange rates brings. Thai Global Exports (Graph)

Thai Baht's Rise in Jeopardy Amid Political Uncertainty
Yeah, at that point I just was like another word salad that basically says, "The baht could go up, the baht could go down, too early to say" ... why did they publish these "predictions??? " And the sentence you highlighted, what does that even MEAN???

Thai Baht's Rise in Jeopardy Amid Political Uncertainty
Hey world, we increased our prices almost 11% last year with a "Stronger Baht", but can't figure out why our economy is sputtering, our stock market is one of the world's worst performers, and now with Trump is about to add another "X" percent to our exports, we are not sure we should weaken the currency to kick start the economy. No worries, as long as the Hi-So mafia who run the country can buy foreign goods, investments, and pay those tuitions in foreign countries ... let's just keep the baht artificially strong, and party like its 1999.

Thailand Prepares for Floods with New Alert System and Measures
Too late for 2026? 2027/ ETC. ETC. ??? Can we agree that people wading around in filthy water, human and animal waste, with their homes, possessions, and vehicles ruined, might have full attention and be in (very rare in Thailand) "solution mode??"

Thailand Prepares for Floods with New Alert System and Measures
Here is a crazy idea! How about BEFORE the monsoon season begins, the government cleans and clears the ditches and pipes designed to help the water flow away harmlessly!! Also, a public service campaign, "Your litter clogs the pipes that prevent flooding! Take pride in your country, help your neighbors, STOP littering!"

I need ideas as to who to go to OR where to ask for a VERY SIMPLE WILL. I was quoted $500 US
If you send me a (Direct message) personal message on this site with an e mail address, I will send you a perfectly legal, Thai and English version. Also, the really simple method is to give your friend your computer online (not smartphone) banking access so they can immediately make transfers and essentially just skip the entire probate mess. If you are not tech savvy, I can teach you how to set up the account online, and get your friend set up in the "favorite transfer" portion. Obviously, I can only tell you the correct method, no need to actually see your information ...

Rutnin Eye Hospital is absolutely world class and for this person losing their sight, worth a visit asap!- Is Now the Time to Go All-In on Silver—or Stick with Gold?
My (Thai) wife buys it from them at 1,000 THB all the time. They even allow orders to be placed below current prices and catch the dips. Could this be a Thai verses Foreigner thing/ Possibly. I will leave it to you to pick up a phone and call them.- Is Now the Time to Go All-In on Silver—or Stick with Gold?
I need for you to call my Brother in Law! He bought 25,000 shares of Apple in 2010 and never sold it! Is it too late to prove him wrong and get him to change his ways???- Is Now the Time to Go All-In on Silver—or Stick with Gold?
Gold is a solid long term investment, and especially easy in Thailand. The most highly respected company is Hua Seng Heng. We bought our physical gold there, because gold from that business is recognized all over the Kingdom, and beyond. We also have an online gold investment account with them, which is great because you can buy small fractional quantities (1,000 Baht minimum purchase) so very easy to "buy the dips" from home and ladder into a lower cost per Baht Gold. Investing in Gold is a process, over time, that has historically paid off when given enough time.- Thailand Vows to End Dual Pricing Amid Growing Tourist Backlash
They just need to change the wording, to more easily explain the rationale behind this. These are PUBLIC areas funded by taxes! The Thai have "already paid." Tax Payer - 30 Baht Non Tax Payer - 150 Baht (and to the very small minority of tax paying foreigners, yes, they should provide you with a card to avoid the higher charge)- In the event of your death
In a learning moment, where is this video stored? Have you tested this from start to finish, log-in, video replaces you, etc? Interesting ... Pro Tip: FYI - All this nonsense only applies on phones. Transfer on the web sites are allowed IF the maximums are in place. And ... BONUS ... if the recipient has the user name, password, and mobile (in case they send a verification number). THEY can change the maximums! So, I keep my accounts with a very modest maximum transfer limit, to ensure no hacker can wipe me out, and GF is an EXPERT now on logging in and changing maximum transfer values. No video, no blinking, just an easy and legal process because "He did it just before he died." And, of course, having her as a "favorite transfer" with a long history of activity, is, in sense proof of the "normalcy" of fund transfers.- In the event of your death
I am not sure when living alone became a disgraceful sign of being a total worthless loser as implied in so many posts. Anyway ... In a legal sense, the vast majority of Expats here in Thailand "live alone." Only a small percentage are married, and have the foresight to write and register their last will and testament, with the corresponding recipients and documentation to facilitate a smooth transfer of assets after their death. Example: You have a long term girlfriend who you feel is, and treat as ... "your wife." For lots of complicated tax, income, and cultural rules, you find it much easier to just stay "single" and have a happy life. You live in Thailand via the "retirement visa" and keep the required 800,000 THB in a bank to ensure compliance and easy annual renewal. You also have your "other" account for living expenses ... etc. You may even own stocks in the SET, since there is no capital gains tax in Thailand, and there is money to be made. You drop dead tonight. Who has the legal rights to your money? Does your girlfriend have a legal right, via an official Last Will and Testament to begin the rather lengthy process of getting the money and stocks you meant to leave for her? Does she even know the process to follow? Oh wait, you think she can just transfer the funds to her account? Have you updated your banking transfer values to allow that, or will she hit the new fire wall of "transfer of funds requires face recognition." Have you considered a request to transfer your 800,000 is a red flag in the banking system. since it implies "This person has just disqualified themselves from the Non Immigrant O process." Golly, we should look into this. The point is. Thai banks make a TON of money KEEPING Expat funds, and forcing those left behind to hire lawyers, and engage in protracted legal battles. More often than not, the very person who needs the money, can't fight that battle, and would not know where to start. Feel free to message me for ideas that can help. (PS: Don't let me "newbie status" fool you, there is a good chance I have lived in Thailand non-stop ... longer than you)- China's Zero-Dollar Trade Sparks Thailand's Economic Woes
Can you please explain how a factory can operate as a "zero dollar" entity? Walk me through it, the raw materials, the machinery, electricity, the logistics equipment, the labor, the sales and marketing, taxes paid to Thailand, and on and on. The Chinese who come to manage the plant do what? Live under a bridge begging for food, or do they buy condos / build houses, buy cars, send their kids to international schools ...etc How exactly, do they magically operate and none of that generates revenue in Thailand???- China's Zero-Dollar Trade Sparks Thailand's Economic Woes

You are conflating "zero dollar tours" with an entirely different international investment model, and they have little in common. - colloidal silver
