Crime Disabled British Tourist Robbed by Trio in Pattaya Hotel Room
Quentin Zen replied to Georgealbert's topic in Pattaya News
your expectation should be you are getting robbed. even at a bar if you talk to a girl and she hits you....your expectation should be getting hit. be happy they even look at you expectations here are to be down-voted if you aren't robbed you aren't trying he should pay them every day forever just because they talked to him or, we should follow some laws. as a judge, just tell his family he was robbed, disgraced, humiliated, and should smile. risks involved. -

In 2009........That's 16 SIXTEEN years ago, we all knew this scam. But tourists have no time to check every scam before they travel, and why search for something negative? I remember around 2019 a Thai friend told me Karaoke is fine if you are in the right province. I said, I don't care.....it's a scam in Chiang Mai and that's enough. It's probably the same 'ol scam. you walk in, buy ONE drink and they charge for music and drinks for all. if you don't pay, they beat you up. I have a feeling they really want to beat you up. lol. Nobody under 80 is reading this.....but maybe you have to Google your intention with "scam" in it. example: you want to jet ski in Pattaya. Google "Pattaya Jet Ski Scam" it was interesting (not really) how the best looking girls were in front of the karaoke shops back in the day. Red Flag number 9208742930847308942743842374. I'm not a Brit, I don't fall for this garbage. lol

Report Fed-Up Nottingham Dad Moves Family to Thailand for New Life
Quentin Zen replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Riots in Spain.............soon in the UK.......... this guy is heading for greener pastures. After a few months cooped up with his family in one room, he will start to explore the dark side of Bangkok. Then Pattaya. Then money problems. Kids won't be happy. Wife will be miserable. They will tell Thais how to do things. This is fail. Kids will want to go back home. Dad falls in love with a bar girl. Scammed. More money gone. Oh, it's only $300. Except it's every day......soon it's "only" $3000. Then $30000. Then the house money is gone. lol Ah, good times. -
This trip will cost taxpayers of both countries approximately $23 million dollars. Probably. Wow, I just Googled this and in 2021 it cost $24 million. I must be a savant. Tariffs from 35 to 35.2 percent. That's enough. The Illuminati must be provided for. This is the way. Trump has asked for Fish and Chips with Cod procured by the most famous fishermen on the planet!!!! Don't worry, we can spend the next 2343243 days speculating about what they talked about, as they sip million dollar bottles of wine and stare at priceless paintings. OK, off to get some Papaya Salad, 30 baht. It's only a 3 km walk in 40 C weather. Gofundme!!!!!! Brits, make sure you taxpayers make Trump feel at home. 100 million is nothing!!!! If it makes Trump happy.

I'm confused. Come to Thailand, show them your American passport. Do the digital arrival thing. Get a STAMP (not a Visa, just a visa-exempt stamp) for 60 days that can be extended in-country for 1900 baht (another 30 days) and start there. A valid US Tourist visa has 0% importance in Thailand. Mods can correct me if I'm crazy. I looked at that link, now I'm confused. lol

I can't even imagine this nightmare. I do think it's good to get a wake-up call on how bad things can get. Every few years I'll watch something like this. Unlucky? Yes. I have one good Thai friend who is a policeman, but I don't think he could help me in Thai prison. Maybe if it was in his province. I know maybe two other policemen who would take my phone call; however, they aren't going to risk losing face over me. I understand that reality. I have connections at the State Department, but I don't think they would do anything special for me if I get locked up. I'm guessing the prisons will try to drain your bank account and everyone's bank account that you know. I've heard stories that you can pay around 50,000 baht and get someone arrested, maybe worse. American prisons are also terrible, I'm sure, but this is next level. This likely isn't the worst. Maybe not even close. I'm not going to Central America to find worse. You drink a few beers, things get out of control, and it's over........

I've been to PEI. Amazing place. Obviously, only in July and August. Obviously. However, one night I was attacked by a lobster and some mussels. Molasses shooting out of their eyes. OMG, I ran for my life!!!!! I do think BC has fentanyl issues. Calgary is sus. Toronto has it's moments. It's all relative. Canada is probably 100x safer than America.

Will the Epstein saga tear MAGA apart?
Quentin Zen replied to spidermike007's topic in Political Soapbox
Immigration policy was hard to understand. Yes, Obama kicked out a lot of people but things seemed to get worse. Trump was "fresh" and not 100 years old. He's not the best, but way better than Biden or Clinton. Corruption is everywhere. I voted for Trump. I like what he did with immigration and overhauling a very bloated government. Tariffs are fine, perhaps a little overboard. That's fine. Alpha stuff. However, children TRUMP (pun intended) everything. If you sexually exploit children you're finished as a human. So now we have to figure out who will take the fall. My gut says Trump didn't have sex with underage kids, but he's still guilty by association and maybe he complicit in certain crimes. It's going to be terrible. The question is, How terrible for him? I don't think this will destroy MAGA, but it will (hopefully) destroy hundreds or thousands of horrible human beings. If Trump is one of them, fine, so be it. My feeling is there will be lots of Dems, Reps, global dignitaries, etc, etc... and maybe Rubio or someone else just becomes the head of the snake. Maybe JD. Protect children at all costs. -

Schools are 100x worse in Thailand. Pollution, has to be at least 10x worse. Language barrier might be hard on the kids. House, yea, burn the only real asset they have? I'm sure the retirement fund will be gone as well. 90% of jobs are not available. What visa is he going to get? This sound like some fake Disney story but will end up in a divorce, kids will go back home, future destroyed, money gone, and their 15 minutes of fame won't result in a payout. Unless this guy has about 50 million baht, there's 0% this works out 10 years from now. Sure, they can "live" for maybe five years doing nothing...but this is an idiotic move. I've never seen anyone come to Thailand and make more than in America. Salaries in America are almost 10x more. -
James, after being rejected by a female employee, flew into a rage. He allegedly spat on two female staff members (see end of video), knocked over an incense pot, and kicked down the bar’s menu sign before fleeing the scene. The situation escalated when James returned shortly after, armed with a metal rod and a sharp object, threatening physical harm..... ------------ A foreign language teacher in Thailand. Nothing to see here, just a normal day.
