  1. I ride past there every day and there was a large influx of Indians recently. They stand out like a sore thumb in that area, as it's mostly Russians and Europeans in the nearby condos.
  2. Most aren't <deleted> like post these <removed> threads. I've never had an American bring up politics or religion over here, they're mostly relieved to be out of the nuthouse and away from that stuff back home.
  3. Well stated and chock full of common sense, an ingredient that has been in short supply as of late. Hopefully sensible Europeans will pull back from the brink and adopt more realistic energy policies.
  4. Funny you should mention that because I just applied mine to the bucket under the seat on my scooter. The last one was stolen out of the holder on my licence plate. I was stopped at road blocks a few times and the cops said it's a regular occurrence and were satisfied with seeing the paperwork and my Thai licence.
  5. Can you speak Thai? The Thai cyclists I've encountered out on the road are some of the friendliest Thais I've met, and that's saying a lot because the people are lovely. The heat doesn't seem to slow them down, either. Anyways, good luck with your search.
  6. Says a clown who has met neither a Russian nor a Ukrainian, much less asked them about the situation. I've worked closely with both nationalities for many years and you couldn't be more incorrect, but do carry on. Want to know what they said to me ? We wish the Americans would f off and leave us alone. That was when Obama destabilised Ukraine back in 2014 and their sentiment hasn't changed. Every Ukrainian spoke Russian and had a Russian passport. Did you know that Zelinsky couldn't even give interviews in Ukrainian?
  7. I was up all night after reading this article. The stress from his incarceration is killing me.
  8. Are they categorising gunshot wounds and car accidents as flu deaths yet? Test positive for the flu, get trampled by an elephant in musth and it gets classified as a death from covid. Sorry, flu.
  9. The new solar panel tax credit won't help this.
  10. You're correct, but the end beneficiaries are richer than you think: the owners of data centers. This is a sneaky way to avoid directly increasing electric bills (see the US) to feed the energy hungry data centers. Get home owners to build the dispersed infrastructure and fund it with tax credits. Solar panels wont come close to meeting the needs of data centers, but it does delay the inevitable price hikes to PEA customers. Thailand's coming digital gulag will require a lot of power and water. More solar means having to construct fewer new power plants.
  11. It's coming, grasshopper, very soon. It appears that Thailand, along with the UK, Canada and Australia are the tip of the spear. Electronic travel authorizations are on their way, and the Thai version requires individuals to affirm that they have the WHO vaccines for the destination. How long until that affirmation becomes uploading proof? If things go to plan it will be by the end of 2030.
  12. Look at him. The spitting image of Harvey Weinstein. Do carry on though, it's quite amusing.
  13. Put him in the same cell block as the mean tweet brigade. They'll sort him out in short order.
  14. The issue is the flawed testing method. Are they testing asymptomatic people like they did with covid? Then they'd crank up the cycle threshold number so that cucumbers and goldfish tested positive. The terrified bipedal sheep stampede and the next thing you know it's masks and forced injections. I don't care what anyone eats, drinks, snorts, smokes or injects, just leave me out of it. I do believe that every single person who took those covid shots should be forced to take them every 6 months for the rest of their lives, and they should be the guinea pigs for all new 'vaccines' that their beloved pharmaceutical companies roll out.
  15. A Pattaya agent goes over a few changes in this video. It sounds like people are held for 2 nights in BKK and if they haven't booked a flight out they're transfered to IDC. He says in the video that people are sent back to where their flight originated from, so you can't just go to the Philippines or Cambodia unless that's where you came from. There's some unpleasant news in there about rental contracts with foreign owners that could complicate a few people's lives. It would have affected me last year.
  16. It's a self limiting problem as long as they don't attempt the forced injection fiasco again. 100 old, sick people who were about to die anyways died from this instead of that. Be afraid, very afraid !
  17. Just make sure they don't bury you in the Pet Semetary. Herman Munster wanders around saying "the soil's sour" and "sometimes dead is better" in a forced accent. There are a surprising number of Catholics in Thailand. I'd contact a church and ask them.
  18. Pattaya is crawling with those SAS guys, especially at the cheap beer bars on the darkside. As for condos, I'm going through the same thing now. Reds has some good leads.
  19. I ate there once, nearly 20 years ago. The food was ok but some old guy a couple of tables away shat himself and the smell made its way over to our table. Most of the geezers hanging out there seem alright but some of them are from the old Beach Road crowd who used to hang around day drinking with the flea bitten hoes. I suspect the guy who shat himself was one of those.
  20. That's a nice stretch to ride on a bicycle.
  21. Yes, particularly the swart ones from the US and the dark continent who make it their aim to antagonize random people. None of this crap happened in Pinochet's Chile. He knew how to deal with this ilk: a dungeon, a chair, and a strong electrical current applied to the genitals kept them in line. I'd tune in to that livestream.
  22. That's for the Thais to decide, not you or the AN board.
  23. Which is why the second extension in a year is only 7 days instead of 30. Check the video link a couple of posts down from yours. The Aussie was detained in a dormitory type of room with others like him for 1k baht per night. He had to book a flight either back to Vietnam (from whence he came) or Australia. Vietnam refused him entry and he was detained in the Saigon airport until he booked a flight to Singapore. He opted to go back to Australia from there. People who are refused entry are not blacklisted and can enter Thailand once they obtain the appropriate visa.
