Arab states attacked Israel in 1948, 1967, and 1973, but those wars did not happen in a vacuum. They followed the UN Partition Plan (accepted by Jewish leaders but rejected by Arab leaders) and the mass displacement of Palestinians. To claim it was simply “the Arabs started several wars” is to ignore decades of British colonial interference, Zionist militias’ offensives, and ongoing military occupation. History is not a morality play with one innocent side and one guilty side, it’s a cycle of actions and reactions, and your statement erases half the picture. And before you say Hamas started this current slaughter, the UN chief said that didn't happen in a vaccuum.

You asked me if I was Muslim, I answered you. I asked if you were Jewish, you avoided an answer. Why? I understand we don’t always practice our given religion. I don’t as went to a Convent school, but still identify as a recovering Catholic.

I could ask you a similar question – why do you show such fanatical support for Israel and dislike of Muslims? Are you Jewish? Please do reply – I’m genuinely curious about your hardline stance. Also, what have Muslims done to your country? Why are you so upset with people who are standing up against the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank? No, I’m Catholic, English with Irish roots. I support the oppressed – and currently, that is the Palestinian people suffering under Israeli actions. I’m neither left nor right politically. Simply put, we rarely hear about Russia, Sudan, Darfur, or North Korea – because Western democratic countries don’t support the atrocities happening there. What you’re saying is racist. Comparing an entire group of people – millions of peaceful Muslims – to reckless drivers after a few drinks is ignorant. Trying to limit their religion to private practice and reduce their influence in society is discriminatory and completely unacceptable. It promotes fear and division rather than understanding. If you truly care about society’s well-being, start judging people as individuals instead of scapegoating an entire religion based on prejudice.

It’s a thin line. If Oct 7 didn’t happen, Palestine was never going to get a state, few cared or even knew. Just after Oct 7, every knew and due to biased media were on Israel’s side. Now, Israel have dug themselves into a big hole and it will be very hard to get out in all of our lifetimes. Israel are now known by many in the West as the aggressors, and used Oct 7 incident to totally flatten 85% of Gaza, including schools, hospitals, mosques, cultural centers, etc. They are trying to hide it but can’t forever, then Israel will be shunned, and rightfully. Sadly, even the US have banned shunning Israelis or even demonstrating against them, as have the UK with Palestine Action.
