  1. "Keep spinning" You offered no reasoning or facts to back up your comment. Because you've got nothing.. "Deflection" Again, no reasoning or facts provided. But of course it's relevant if the goal is keep illegal aliens from settling in the USA. It actually is a crime to knowingly employ illegal aliens. Where's the major push for enforcement? I wonder what all that money devoted to ICE would do if instead it was used to prosecute criminal employers.
  2. So, it's not about the poor suffering Iranians, then, is it?
  3. Because of the double standards. The same people who weep for the Iranians, don't seem to give 2 sh#ts for the Egyptians or other oppressed peoples. I don't wonder why. What's more, if US intervention fails, the reprisals against Iranians are going to be savage. If it does fail, should America let those suffering Iranians emigrate to the USA? Or just leave them dangling? In fact, the Iranian govt is already on borrowed time. It's corruption and incompetence have done it in. Apparently, even rural areas no longer can be counted on for support. With or without US intervention, it's doomed.
  4. For one thing, most Americans don't want to deport most illegal aliens. Just the ones who are serious criminals. And why isn't there a bipartisan effort to make hiring illegal aliens an even more serious crime? How many employers has the Trump administration prosecuted?
  5. Have you already forgotten that it was you who singled out illegal alien, murders, sex offenders and gangbangers? You put murders, sex offenders, and gangbangers in a special category. Why? I just added to the mix the vast majority of Americans who are native-born.
  6. Interesting how you surrender all critical faculties when the government offers you some statistics. It it were me, I would have taken a closer look at them. And since, in fact, it is me, I did just that. Here's one for starters: "Amid intense debate over illegal immigration in the US election, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and his supporters claim the Biden administration allowed some 425,000 migrants with criminal records, including 13,000 with murder convictions, to enter the country without detaining them. This is false; the figures refer to the cumulative number of convicted non-citizens, including those from the Trump administration -- many of whom are in state or local custody. "JUST OUT: 13,000 people convicted of murder have crossed into our Country through Kamala Harris’ Open Border - NON DETAINED, NON CITIZEN, CONVICTED CRIMINALS!" Trump said in a September 27, 2024 post sharing a Fox News graphic on his Truth Social platform. Similar claims have circulated on Facebook, TikTok, X, Threads and in online articles. "Under the Biden-Harris administration, over 425,000 illegal immigrants with criminal convictions have been released into the U.S., including 13,099 convicted murderers, 15,811 convicted rapists, 425,431 total convicted criminals," says a September 28, 2024 Instagram post. The claims also lack context about the status of migrants with criminal records. The DHS spokesperson said the figures shared online include "many who are under the jurisdiction or currently incarcerated by federal, state or local law enforcement partners." Aaron Reichlin-Melnick of the American Immigration Council (archived here) told AFP: "These are people who, primarily, have already been charged and convicted and served their time." Alex Nowrasteh, vice president for economic and social policy studies at the Cato Institute, offered a similar analysis in a September 30 blog post (archived here). "When ICE uses the term 'non-detained,' they mean not currently detained by ICE," Nowrasteh wrote. "In other words, the migrant murderers included in the letter are overwhelmingly in prison serving their sentences. After they serve their sentences, the government transfers them onto ICE's docket for removal from the United States." https://factcheck.afp.com/doc.afp.com.36HN49K
  7. Conflating reality? What does that mean? What does that have to do with the numerous points I quoted?
  8. Why stop with Iran? What about the blatantly corrupt government of Egypt which runs a massive torture regime while enriching its members to an obscene degree?
  9. Especially the child pornographers and their fans.
  10. What you're literally telling me is your representation of what they believe. I could care less about what you claim is your unconfirmable personal history. Given your biases blatantly on display in other topics, I'm confident you're offering something that you may or may not believe to be true, but is basically just a cliche.
  11. I don't know how you managed to do it, but you missed the heavy-handed sarcasm offered by NorthernRyland.
  12. So you mean illegal aliens who are murderers, sex offenders, and gangbangers don't get arrested and incarcerated? Do they have get-out-of-jail-free cards?
  13. Really? Are you reporting from an alternate reality. Here's what AI has to say about it. Targeting All Undocumented Individuals: Under the previous administration, ICE prioritized individuals who posed a threat to national security or public safety. The current administration has rescinded these memos, making anyone without legal status subject to arrest and removal. Decline in Criminal Conviction Share: Reports show that the percentage of detainees with criminal convictions has dropped (from 65% in late 2024 to approximately 35% by late 2025), as ICE increasingly arrests individuals with only immigration violations. Removal of "Sensitive Locations" Protections: Previous directives that protected areas like schools, hospitals, and places of worship from enforcement actions have been rolled back, allowing for arrests in or near these locations. 2. Operational Tactics and Field MethodsICE has adopted several "force multiplier" tactics to increase the volume of arrests: Concealed Identity: Agents have increasingly been reported wearing masks, civilian clothing, and using unmarked vehicles during community arrests to prevent identification and evade counter-surveillance by activists. "Surge" Operations: DHS has launched high-profile operations in specific cities, such as Operation Midway Blitz (Chicago/Midwest) and Operation Metro Surge (Minneapolis), involving thousands of arrests in short periods. Plain-Clothes Arrests at Courthouses: There has been a resurgence of agents in plain clothes arresting individuals appearing for scheduled immigration or local court hearings. 3. Worksite Enforcement and RaidsWorkplace raids, which were largely suspended under the Biden administration, have returned as a primary method of enforcement. Massive Operations: In September 2025, ICE conducted what it called the largest single-site worksite raid in its history at a Hyundai battery plant in Georgia, resulting in nearly 500 arrests. Industry Targeting: Raids have focused on industries like construction, meatpacking, agriculture, and hospitality. 4. Legal and Procedural ChangesThe administration is using "fast-track" legal mechanisms to bypass traditional court proceedings: Expedited Removal Expansion: ICE is utilizing "expedited removal" powers to the fullest extent authorized by law, allowing for the deportation of individuals without a hearing before an immigration judge if they cannot prove they have lived in the U.S. for at least two years. 287(g) Program Expansion: The administration has signed hundreds of new agreements with local sheriffs and police departments, deputizing local officers to perform the functions of federal immigration agents. Mass Detention Infrastructure: A significant portion of the $45 billion provided by the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" (2025) has been allocated to building "soft-sided" detention facilities (tent camps) to support the surge in arrests.
  14. Tell me native born American murders, sex offenders, and gangbangers contribute to the American economy.
  15. Unlikely to be loyal? What does that mean? Are they privy to top secrets? "They are a potential source of unrest". Really? Ya got any evidence for that? America has had millions of illegal aliens here for decades. Where's the unrest that they have caused? The Cato Institute did a study that showed illegal aliens are half as likely to commit serious crimes as native-born Americans. They hardly seem like a cohort given to unrest. Who says I don't care about the workers? I just reported on the economic effects of deportation. And unless you provide evidence that illegal aliens were contributing to the poor workmanship of American homes more so than American workers, I'm going to treat your claim as fiction.
  16. Funny. Ana Paulina Luna, the proponent of this legislation, is a right wing republican from a state that has made it a priority to remove from schools any books that even mention the existence of gay people. But an internet venue that is being used to create pornographic images of real live children needs to be defended from being blocked even to the point of disrupting relations between 2 nations. Because gay people bad, child pornography good?
  17. Is it a destabilizing situation? It looks to me like the loss of workers and their contribution to the American economy has been a destabilizing situation.
  18. Typical rightwing elitist.
  19. And Clinton and Obama deported lots of illegals but they did it without the use of a paramilitary force employing the kinds of methods that would ordinarily be used against violent criminals. They didn't indiscrimately send them to brutal foreign prisons or confine them in conditions that regularly earned stern rebukes from judges. And back then, ICE wasn't repeatedly rebuked by judges for testilying.
  20. Still, I do have to concede that there is something to what you're saying. After all, when someone's daughter is raped and murdered, I bet they hope and pray that it wasn't done by an Making a joke about cherry picking, which is what you were doing, is not the same thing as making it personal.
  21. I know that farmers in the West with orchards are having a terrible time finding workers now that illegal aliens are lying low or leaving the country. Maybe you should apply to be a cherry picker.
  22. Not just those danerd liberals and libertarians. It's the warm and fuzzy attitude that the un-American vast majority of Americans have towards these immigrants that's really the problem: Uploading Attachment... https://news.gallup.com/poll/692522/surge-concern-immigration-abated.aspx
  23. First time, it's misdemeanor. Which is why armed and masked agents, many of them badly trained, are necessary to go after these malefactors with no holds barred.
  24. Is it a problem? If it is, how big a problem is it? How much expense is warranted in dealing with it? Are the methods of enforcement worse than the alleged problem? And by the way, if it's screeching and spittlefrothing you're looking for, try starting closer to home.
  25. Not only do I approve of the enormous expense and brutality of ICE agents, but I also believe that when someone is spotted shoplifting, a SWAT team should be called in to deal with it.
