Not all countries have it compulsory. In Australia it’s done through the schools but it’s still voluntary. Being a vaccine skeptic doesn’t prevent people getting preventable illnesses and if you get with an unvaccinated girl you’re at risk.

Here’s how easy it is. I got genital warts at 19 in the early 80’s I had the choice of 2 skanks to blame but it could well have been a nice girl. He removed it 3 weeks later and a biopsy found it non cancerous but a HPV most likely related to my warts. I informed my ex wife who never had cervical checks and she had been found to be infected while getting treatment for other “women’s issues”. My then current partner that had Pap smears annually also showed she had contracted it recently. The growth grew back 3 times and was removed each time promptly thanks to my Private Medical Insurance. On the 4th occasion the ENT suggested a Chemo drug which is only accessible through the Public hospital system. I went in 3 weeks later as a category 1 patient and had the growth removed and the chemo drug injected into the site (free in Australia’s medical system). To date after 18 months it has not come back. My current partner is willing to accept the risk but works in the medical industry in Thailand so understands it. Who know how many other women before I met my wife or after we split up I infected. What this doctor is recommending should become standard around the world.

Rubbish. It’s a growth tax that rises as GDP and the economy grows and is much more efficient than all other taxes and levies. The biggest tax dodgers in every country are the rich. With a VAT they can’t avoid paying, so it mops up some of the black market. Pensions are way too low and if this raises them to 3000 baht per month then it’s great. The young and working always bear the responsibility of supporting the aged and infirm in all developed countries. Look at Singapore and what achieved in a generation.

You can complain to Facebook but they seem to make money off the scammers so don’t really care. I report lots of fake ads normally using Australians of status promoting schemes they would never touch. Sometimes they remove them sometimes they tell me they think I’ve made a mistake. The latest one I reported was an AI picture of former Prime Minister Howard promoting a retirement scam. Facebook told me I was wrong! Goodluck getting any action from Facebook!

I find from Australia if I do it weekdays, during business hours of both Australia and Thailand it’s instant. Revolut the same. The one time I did it on a weekend took nearly 24 hours.

You need a lot of proof that she won’t do a runner in Australia. Proof like lots of photos as a family unit. Proof of asset ownership in Thailand. Copies of pages in Passport showing her as a seasoned traveler elsewhere and returning home. I’d recommend getting an agent to apply for hers. I took my partner to Australia but she was denied the first application I did but a subsequent one by an agent, no problem. I was a long term employee of the Australian Government at the time, having travelled on diplomatic passports and even I couldn’t get her application right.

It’s more that Vietnam has picked its act up. Thailand needs to do the same. It’s still cheap for tourists other than the poor. It needs to promote other provinces, too much on Pattaya, Phuket, Bangkok. Attract real tourists that want to see the country. Need to promote its not a 3rd world country outside the cities.
