I believe you have to go into the Apple store, find it and download it. When you download it should say whether you have to pay or not, but I think it's free. It was free for me and mine is a 2014 Mac air.

Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect

Many thanks for the info, downloading it now

  3. Just curious.... can avian flu be spread by the presence of frozen turkey breasts like those marketed by Butterball, etc???

Live turkeys I can understand, and even perhaps fresh turkey meat. But frozen turkey breasts???

The answer is yes, the only way to be certain to kill the contamination is to cook it, that's why cooked meat exports are not affected, Thailand was banned by the EU and many other countries for many years in exporting raw/frozen poultry until earlier this year, after the avian flu outbreak many years ago here in Thailand.

  4. All raw imports of fowl meat is currently banned into Thailand and many other countries due to an outbreak of avian flu in many parts of the USA a few months back, this is to protect the chicken flocks here, as Thailand is the 2nd exporter after Brazil in the world of cooked and raw chicken products.

  5. Problem is the New Civic with the super auto box it will be 2 years old when it gets announced here as the ALL NEW CIVIC costing too much seeing as its will be built here. Im thinking its time to change ,despite the quality n service , only matched by Toyota.sad.png

Too long to wait, will have to think of other options

  6. You can also do the reporting 7 days AFTER,, So if you NOT report, nothing would really happen.

Incorrect advice. If you completely miss doing the report due on 10 November, this omission will be noted on your local immigration office's computer, and you could find yourself in hot water (and 2,000 THB poorer) when you submit your following report due 90 days after your return from the UK.

So to answer your original question, yes, definitely do the reporting before your departure.

Many thanks for all the feedback

I will go and do the report as suggested.

    Thanks

    Again

Dont forget to buy the Re Entry permit.... otherwise there is absolutely no sense at all in thinking of reporting, because you will have nothing to report about..

Thank you, have the reentry permit already.

  8. An update on my application, I submitted it to Trendy House on the 9th April, I had a phone call from Trendy on the 30th, saying my passport was ready for collection, I will be going on Tuesday to collect overall its taken just over 7 weeks.

    JOHN

    Thanks a lot for this.

I'm past the 4 week waiting period and now in visa limbo because my passport has expired. It's good to know a rough idea of when it will be resolved. Did you need to book an appointment to collect?

    No appointment necessary to collect.

Once Trendy tell you that your new passport is available for collection, you just turn up at your convenience to collect Mon - Fri 08:30 - > 16:00 (better you arrive before 15:00 to be safe).

By written agreement/authorisation you can send a proxy to collect, but either way they want to cancel your old passport, so that needs to go as well.

Thats what I was also told on friday, when they phoned me, collect anytime between 8.30 to 16.00, i an going on Tuesday.
