  1. I have now had the Sophon internet installed for the past two weeks on the 10M package (B1490 a month not cheap but it works), it's been great, not down once and speeds hover around the 9/10M and the same from the UK. I am on the North end of 3rd road.

As for other details I am no expert, so can't give you a correct answer.

  2. Has any one recently installed Sophon internet, if so what is it like compared to the competition. Sophon can now serve my home on the 3rd road soi6, but I would like some feed back before making the change.

    Thanking you in advance

I have had the 4mb service installed for about 3 weeks now and have no trouble with it what so ever. I called the office around 1PM on a Friday afternoon and it was up and running by 5:30. I am in the Tukcom area of town

  3. I have eaten here a few times and the food is excellent and the prices are great.

They offer a set meal for 69 Baht !!!!! Your choice of Chicken (pictured) , Beef , Pork , or Salmon which is slightly more

The owner worked as a chef in Japan for 15 years and he really knows his food.

Easy to find right on 3rd road off Soi Excite - heading towards Pattaya Klang , near and on the same side as the Mityon Motorcycle shop.

He makes sushi as well that is fantastic and much tastier than anything Fuji has.

Give it a try and you will not be disappointed

I have also eaten here 4 times now and can say great food at fair prices, well worth a visit.

    regards

  4. If you like Japanese food there is a small new restaurant called Wasabi Tei on 3rd road a few shops down from the Family Mart on the corner where Xzyte dico is located (red and black decor easily seen from the road).

The Chef spent 15 years in Japan and it shows in his cooking, cheap too.

    Buddy.

Eat here last night can also confirm the food was great and reasonably priced.

    Well worth a visit.

  5. On a sombre note, some info please. Was told last night ( maybe bar-room bullsh*t ) that even if you are a long term resident here, if you die here without being married you cannot be cremated here and the British Embassy steps in, takes over and your body is shipped back to UK. Is this the case ? Any info please....not that I am planning on shuffling off just yet !!!

My friend who passed away some 5 years ago in Northern Thailand was cremated with the British Embassy approval in Thailand.

So I would say the above statement is not true.

  9. Hello

Could I have some recommendations for a Dentist who can do Tooth Implants. I am thinking of BPH but they are very expensive, thats why I would like some local independent advice.

Thanking you for your answers in advance.

  10. Hi

Can some tell me what level of health insurance is needed for Thailand. I see the TV covers up to 1.2mB and then you can get cover for 5mB from Bupa etc, all be it at a more expensive price. I will be living in Pattaya.

  11. I just use:

    Meg_2003

    xxx/xx Soi Arunothai x

    Pattaya Klang

    Nongprue, Banglamung

    Chonburi 20150

Never had any problems yet, never used the Moo due to not being sure of the exact one. Different people use different Moo's around here...

All my official documents when posted to me state ''20150'' as the post code, and no mention of Pattaya only Chonburi

  12. contrary to the views of the third poster.

    Neil

    You are the third poster.

Never eaten at the place, but I always get suspicious when a few highly negative posts about some business suddenly appear for no particular reason.

If you don't like the food or service, go somewhere else. There are only a few places in Pattaya I would bother eating. They're Thai restaurants frequently primarily by Thais and not designed to attract tourists. Boyztown would not be my first choice for good food, reasonable prices or anything more than a tourist scam anyway.

I was not the third poster. There was previously a third post ranting at the first two in a rather wild way. I was simply refuting the wild allegations there. I assume the third post was removed by the poster or by the moderators (and I can understand why). In addition to missing this post, you seem to have missed the point. This restaurant used to be excellent (not all restaurants in Boyztown are bad, no matter what you may think). It is still well advertised, but is now far from excellent. There is nothing "suspicious" about this thread---I don't know any of the posters from Adam. Since you (admittedly) have no knowledge of it, what do you think, maybe your ignorance means you should not post on the subject.

I agree been many times but over the past 6 months it seems to of lost it's way. I would agree the menu is to large to be able to produce good home made food.

    Regards

    JOHN
