    Thanks for the information.

Do you think this is going to be a total closure of all entertainment venues and bars, or will they're be some places open selling soft drinks and other beverages (perhaps in disguise sleep.png ) ?

It seems like a complete clousure, but I am sure some bars will try and open selling soft drinks with no entertainment, and maybe the evening of the 10th some bars may open late.

  3. Most months i don't even get my bill through from this crowd.

Word of warning, unlike your true visions bill, you cannot pay at 7-eleven if it is after the due date, the system won't accept it. So you either have to go to klang or pay twice the following month, they will not cut you off until the third month, trust me I know.

I always recieve the bill after the payment date, TOT uselesss

  4. Just put an application into K-Bank for a credit card, they required that i had at least held a work permit for a year and it must still have at least 6 months to run from application date, (just got a new two year permit) plus they wanted 3 months of wage slips and a copy of my tax return plus copies of my bank books. Will let you all know of the outcome, they said about 2/3 weeks.

  5. The answer is actually no. I use a travel agent 100% of the time when booking for myself or for my wife when I am not in country. The ticket is paid for by the travel agent via their system. There is no credit card check at checkin. We have done this on Thai, Emirates and Bangkok Air.

I agree if you use a Travel Agent then you do not need to show credit card at check in, if you book direct with Airline then you do.

  6. "I am a manager/Director and pay Social Insurance, how do go about getting into the scheme, any pointers please."

After three months payments the Social Security Office normally issues a soc sec card. They will also tell you which hospital you are assigned to.

If you've been paying and haven't received a card, contact the Soc Sec Office. In my experience they're pretty helpful.

Many thanks, I will get on the case.

  7. As far as i know, if they are paying tax for you and you have a work permit then they need to put you in the social fund, only exemption i know of is when you are listed as a manager or director on the company documents you are now no longer entitled to join the social fund.

  8. Im just having some treatment at my dentist called Dental for You directly opposite Tuk com main entrance, south pattaya rd.

Root canal treatment and a pin and crown on my front tooth 11500bt and it's taken 6 appointments to complete the treatment.

I would recommend you go there for a consultation and price.

You may find that a bridge would not be the best long term solution and that the dentist you visited is not qualified to do implants

instead, which would probably be the best solution

My brother in law had two implants done there last year for 40000bt each.

Ask to see Dr Kwanchai. (implant specialist) he'll give you sound advice.

I also have just had route canal treatment and pin plus crown total price 12000 Baht, dentist name PattayaSmile Dental Clinic, opposite the Karison bank, which is next door to Tuk Com.

    Very god service.

  9. Hi

Does anyone have a good contact to exterminate termites, I have a invasion in the kitchen eating the wood very happily. Would like a company who can speak some English, and would like to have a years contract for monthly spraying.

    Any help would be grateful.

  10. You can never obtain any multi entry visa inside of Thailand. If you qualify for one year extension of stay from Immigration no travel is required. If not you would have to exit to a Consulate to obtain another single or if possible a multiple entry non immigrant B visa (and then make border runs every 90 days).

Many thanks for a quick response, if I get a years extension can I apply for multiple entry, at a cost.

    Regards

  11. I will be going to the Birmingham Thai Consulate on the 19th Jan to get a Non-B visa, I have all the documentation that is required.

Do I apply only for a 3 month Non-B visa, then the following week once back in Thailand apply for my work permit, then can I change the the Non-B into a one year Non-B Mutable entry here in Thailand.

    Any answers/advice would be grateful.
