World class beaches? What a joke, if one enjoys beaches with brown trout floating by. (Raw sewage).

Can someone remind me why I have absolutely no intention of visiting Pattaya.

Well where do I start, maybe you do not like shopping; entertainent; world cuisine; 24 hour cities; fun?

Or maybe you do not like World Class beaches; sports hubs, comferece facilities; the worlds longests marathon; highest maritime safety standards.

Or perhaps you are xenophobic, many Chinese, Russians etc frequent Pattaya.

To bastardise a phrase from Samuel Johnson.

"When a man is tired of Pattaya, he is tired of life."

As a side issue I do not live there, I live in Issan.

guess, since these children don't receive any education by their parents and never learn to obey,  they continue to act as they like in Kindergarten or school, not listening or obeying the teacher or the nanny.

Which leads to such violent outbursts by teachers who wish to make themselves heard. A form of expressing their helplessness by playing out physical strength

If the children would just obey . . like the boy who starts wandering around, if it was for the Nanny who told him three, four times "please sit down with the others" without him reacting . . . well WHAT would you do in her place? Freak out or keep your calm?

a difficult situation . . . if parents pass their educational responsibilities to nannies and teachers, they must be willing to accept that this education is based on learning & obeying

    Yeah, blame the victims.:-(

not paying attention lack of driving experience is that enough for you

Or perhaps the car was travelling on the highway the motorcycle and side car entered from a side road without looking, no lights etc......

I prefer to wait hear the full details before I join the "hang em high" crowd.

Except there is no such thing as an accident.  It is an event or series of events that have defined and avoidable criteria involved. Often removing one or more of these ( speed)  in this particular instance would have a dramatic difference in the outcome.

Agreed. That is why in other countries it is refered to as a RTC, Road Traffic Crash.

However, and perhaps, it appears that a lot of drivers are "accidents" waiting to happen.

But that is enough on my views about birth control.

  7. "Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, Mr Weerasak’s predecessor, wrote a farewell letter in her own handwriting, saying that the past three years as tourism and sport minister was a valuable time in her life as she had worked with the people of all sectors, particularly those of a new generation, to develop the Thai tourism toward quality and sustainability."

I for one will miss you, for you have brought Thailand the delights of Pokemon tourists, changed Pattaya from the "Sin City" that it was, ensured tourists are in a safe place. Also stopped zero dollar tourists, brought the Kingdom the "Tour de France" , F1, the longest marathon in the world etc.

However, I will remember you as the great creator of the most unbeliverable statics ever.
