there was a Shoe Polisher used to be around the Soi 8  area in Pattaya --   not many leather shoes to buff up tho-- but cleaned up the Reebok nicely ---also had new laces-and could replace the Velcro fastenings on shoes & sandals that had them-- always seemed to be happy with his lot--come to think of it --it was a lady --maybe ???

I have an account with Kasikorn --and a Dtac sim card-- no problems --always recieve notifications from the bank--have not changed any settings to the  card--- I keep 2 phones -- saving the bother of changing over the  card--and dont miss any relevent info that they may send---works well online--can even top up Dtac card as required

I am in Zone 5 ---$200us  each way in economy !!!--I dont think so ????

Amex is offering free travel insurance for Gold Card holders -- it might be me --but I can only see under the Transport section  covered  "While riding as a passenger on, or transport to/from a Terminal on a Licensed Airplane, Ship or Bus • While in a departure or destination terminal "  no mention of being covered while travelling in Buses Taxis etc in the country itself  ???? ---as I say i cant see any reference to that ??  Ref. section 5 & 15---I have called the company--but lost in translation --Phillipines I think ?

On a recent trip to Uk via Thailand for 10 days --I noticed when I was waiting in the baggage hall that my passport had only been stamped for 14 days--and not the 30 ---- did not bother about it as I was covered--but what would happen if I did not spot it and stayed my usual 4 weeks --when I got to check in to leave-- a problem ? or just a bit of paperwork at immigration ?--checked it again on my return trip for 12 days  ---30 days ????

I am going to give Phillipine Airways a shot for my Auckland to Bangkok trips--  after my last trip with Emirates to use up airpoints-----  Staff on Qantas have been too indifferent for me-- in Economy-  on my last flights with them --  seemed to be a rush to serve meals--put down the shades and dim the lights-- last time ask 2 times for another drink after lights out --never came -- then told on the third time I had to go get it myself -- so staff can assess me --and I was in the bloody middle seat --????   -on that  trip from BKK-SYD the middle section was full of refugee's from Alleppo -- could'nt do enough for them --that's ok -- but what about the fare paying passenger's !! -- ps refugees with iphones-Ipads-- wearing Gold and Jewelry --??  tell you what tho'--the children were very well behaved--rant over --Bloody Emirates fault

Just been notified that Emirates will be stopping the Sydney to Bangkok-Sydney service leg from June 1st ????--any-one booked later will be transfered to Qantas ????-- Bugger !! will one less player leave the door open for Thai and Qantas to cash in ????

think it was the thai airways website --- if not Bangkok Airways--- I spotted the words "  for Thai Nationals Only" -- as I was about to book-- so I assume that I would have been     "personna non gratias" as soon as the airlines computor/person recognised  that I indeed was not ?? ????

Re HellFire Pass--- the stairs down have been upgraded to make it a lot easier  -- but it is a long climb back up - to keep in mind if you have any health problems-- alternatly if you   arrived by taxi-- you could walk back past the stairs -- and arrange for the driver to meet you at the end of the track-- where there is a steep road back up--

can I use the shuttle to BKK without a departure flight ticket  out -- if I pay-- ?? I did pay for a bus to Bkk from Dmk - some time ago to connect to the Bell Bus service at Bkk-- but cant remember if it was the Shuttle --was only about 50 baht and took about 1 hr--ish --on a Sunday
